Do you still remember MS-DOS? |
| |
| What can you remember about it? Have you played DOS-based games too? How about DOS-based applications like Wordstar and Lotus 1-2-3? Do you still remember that flat floppy disk that's used for system start-up? We've come a long way from the DOS-based computers of yesterday? Do you still fondly remember the days when there were still no xp's and vistas? Let's reminisce. | | | | | |

| | Yup, years back...the computers then were really unfriendly! We had to use DOS commands to delete, rename, copy and so forth. I started with Symphony instead of Wordstar - and to compare those applications with current ones, it's all so convenient and easy now! | | | | | | |

| | Exactly. I think the worst DOS command back then was a command called "deltree", it will literally delete EVERYTHING! One time my classmate used it on the school computer, he got suspended for 1 whole week because he deleted all the grades of my teachers. Hahahaha. | | | |

| | With Wolf do you mean Wolfenstein 3D? It's a first-person shooter similar to DOOM and Half-Life. I think that was one of my favorites back when I was a kid. | | | |

| | She thought I was asking for money when I say dos. Dos in our language means two. So she would give me two pesos when I say it. | | | |

| | Remember it? I've still got it, MS DOS 6 that is. Not installed, in it's box. Plus a bunch of the old games like Civilization, Master of Orion, Master of Magic and many more. | | | | | | |

| | Cool stuff! I like Civilization a lot. That's probably one of the greatest games ever. I've played the original one when I was younger and played the sequel in the Playstation, of all consoles. | | | |

| | I remember using Wordstar to create school reports back in my college days. I still remember some of those shortcuts like KB (Block Begin) and KK (Block End). I remember I have to enter blank lines so I can put my illustration and/or figures there. I can't remember if Wordstar has capability to insert pictures back then. Microsoft Word is a great improvement over Wordstar. Yes, we really come a long way. | | | | | | |
