Gay adoption  |

 Do you think that gay people should be able to adopt a child. Many people say no becouse of the fact that the kid is going to get bullied in school but i believe that it's better for an orphean to be bullied than stuck in the system without any parents. Or what i f a gay couple decide to adopt a kid from lets say darfur, i don't think that the kid is going to complain about having two daddys/mommys instead of living in the middle of a genecide.

It's better in a lot of ways, one of them is what you say that the risk of both parents dying is lower than the risk of a single parent dying but it's also better since with two parents the family will most likely have two incomes and be able to provide better for the kid. | |

 grammasnook (1259) | 10 months ago |  In essence it isn't the children doing the bullying it is the close minded parents that are pushing their beliefs on the children. It is okay for someone to have the belief that this is not right but it is not okay for one to preach to our impressional children that this is so wrong. If we as adults would just let the children make up their own minds, I am sure it would just pass by like any other day. It is mostly the parents that have kept racism alive for so long. This is just another battle for another group to fight. I have one saying in life that I live by. I AM WHO I AM AND YOU CAN NOT ACCEPT ME FOR THAT THEN KEEP ON WALKING BY.

| 6. ceci2176 (545) | 10 months ago |  I definitely think LGBTQ people in general should be eligible to become adoptive parents. What someone has between their legs doesn't automatically affect whether they're good or bad parents.
If the kid is bullied, it's usually not their parents' fault - it's the bully's parents that are to blame.
