Two young children close in age  

Hi,
One of my aunt have 3 kids and they all are of almost same age. One is around 7 and the next one is 3 and the third one is around a lil more than 1.5 years,lol.
They all are so cute and whenever thay come to my place, they make a mess. How their mother carry them is some thing i really dont know. The older one walks and the the smaller one is always in her mothers arm. I feel pity for the middle one really. She is neither small nor big,lol. I guess she walks too like her older sis but she is only 3 . Or may be her daddy lifts her in his arms, if he is around.
Usually we dont use push chair here in India. People here like to lift their kids on their arms and there is one belt like thing i have seen, which is really cute where a baby can hang. I would recommened my aunt to buy that belt so that the middle one keeps hanging, lol.

I know some people having cheir children close in age. Not many with only one year between, but many with 18-24 months between their children.

I have 22 months between my two oldest and the older one walked everywhere we went.

It's also a possibility to carry one child in a sling and the other one in i stroller. I didn't even use a stroller for my youngest when she was a baby - I just carried her all the time.

oh wow! that is tough...how did her body cope with having one child after another.?

anyway, i also intend to have another child soon. but maybe after a year and a half, so that my body had fully recovered from my current pregnancy. i will be having our first baby next month.

so far, i have a cousin who has babies who are close enough in age, but not this close, so i could only imagine what the family has to go through.

My brother was born only one month after my first birthday. My mom says she got pregnant shortly after i was born. I dont know how she handled it. Especially since i had colic.

yes i have friend like that!the baby is not even one year and then she deleivered the baby.it was like magic when she get pregnant.she carried it like pigs.and not they are all sick the 5 kids she regreted it that she did not think to use pills.

There were twenty months between my two boys. In those days, we used to have the big, sprung prams, and could attach a seat over the top of it, for the older one. By the time the younger one got into a buggy, or pushchair as they were called then, the older one was walking quite well. Needless to say, we never caught buses places in those days, because of the size of the pram. We used to walk everywhere.

Interesting how humans cope with certain situations. Having kids that so close in ages can be a lot of load for the mother, especially when we talk about her bringing her kids around. I just admire women who are able to perform their motherly tasks so well in spite of the setbacks.

My four children were each two years apart - but I did have a big pram which had a little seat you could slide over the handle. When I had the second baby, the toddler sat in the seat and the baby rode in the pram. It was excellent, and the pram had really good suspension so it was easy to push - not like the weird strollers available today! I tried pushing my daughter's stroller a while ago, and the silly wheels kept swivelling all over the place and it was a most annoying and cumbersome thing to operate!

Yes, my fiance and his sister are extremely close in age. His sister was born on May 16 1984, and my fiance was born on May 11, 1985. They're a year apart. Or as they put it, they're 361 days difference.

yup, my niece is 3 yrs old, and my nephew 1 yrs old, thats the nearest age gap i have seen so far..
It not really difficult to bring them out, my elder sister dont uses a pushchair..
Since my niece knows how to walk, just make sure her hands is being hold.. as for the baby nephew, a cloth can be used to tie him to my elder sister body..
