Come on Democrats, try raising your standards a bit!  

I am tired of everytime I bring up an issue with a democrat or Obama that their first response is Bush. Like somehow I liked him. The assume that all republicans like bush or that bush represents what republicans want or are. IF that would have been the case his approval ratings would have been a lot higher. Bush should not be the measuring stick or anything when it comes to being president.
As for Daschle, I actually saw posts here on mylot saying how he should not have stepped down, that it should not have had a bearing on his job...yada yada. They defended him.
Personally I want ALL the crooks out of our elected offices. Reguardless of party. I am tired of it.
You are not unpatriotic. It is the new weapon word. First if you criticized Obama you were a racist, now if you do not support his agenda you are unpatriotic. Both words are used to try and intimidate you and silence you. Don't let them win. Stand up and say what you believe. That is your right as an American citizen.

If you support Obama and this spendulus package, you are unpatriotic. Yep, thats right, I said it, I went there. You pledge allegiance to the flag and country, not the self proclaimed messiah! He is not living up to his oath to protect and preserve our Constitution. NO WHERE does it state that the federal government will provide this crap. Except for the infrastructure. That very small percentage of the bill that is the token spending.
His blatant disregard for the Constitution before even being elected, refusing to prove his eligibility, is a strong indicator to me what kind of man he is. For crying out loud, he was a Constitutional lawyer, you can't tell me he truly believes that what he is doing is in accordance with the thoughts and intentions of our forefathers.
Hope and change - we have run well for over 200 years with this document. The only times we have had severe troubles are when government gets too involved.

And then they wonder why I despise Democrats with every fiber of my being. Their ignorance, hypocrisy and double standards offend me in ways I cannot fully express.

I would respond but as you never comment on any of your discussions therefore they do not become discussion just statements. In other words if you can't take the time to comment then my time is too precious to waste on your discussions.

I criticized Geithner for being a tax cheat just yesterday in another post...but then again, I'm still registered as a Republican.

I'm also not happy with the the stimulus package and have been letting my state reps know that.

Excelent points. If the public knew what some of that bill was going for they might be a bit upset. I just got the TARP testimonies and some other items of importance as to where some of this money that we just lost and are going to have to pay for in taxes is actually going.

I had sincerely hoped that some of the more vocal Democrats from our little community would have responded to this discussion. Although, in all fairness it probably would have been not so unlike deliberately stepping into a bear trap -- ouch!

I do wish to correct one of your points, if I may. At least two Democrats have commented on Bill Richardson. Though both inappropriately demonstrated sympathy for him. He is the governor of my state, and he is a painful reminder of all that is wrong in the Land of Enchantment!

When we start excusing illegalities in the name of party loyalty, then there is something terribly wrong!!! To be sure, I don't know anyone who excused Bush having pushed the Prescription Drug benefit, or his resistance to securing our borders, or his apparent allergy to the Veto Pen in response to dangerout, out-of-control spending. When someone screws up, we need to hold them accountable -- regardless of their personal politics. AND, when they break they law -- we must apply the same legal standard that the average citizen is held to -- no exceptions!

I don't think Democrats can rightly say that anyone from their party deserves lashings.

I mean, the evidence is all over the net, all over the news, all out in the streets - hardcore libs are abrasive, disruptive finger pointers who refuse to take on an ounce of responsibility. It's not that their standard is Bush - it's simply that Bush is the end-all argument for the unenlightened.

Due to a horrific war that NO ONE wants and a huge ball drop by FEMA, wing-tips have the necessary ammo they need to blame their way to oblivion's bliss.

Hey, I understand party loyalty. I value myself a conservative and I can say right now that I know some nutjob neo-cons who need to go away! But when it comes to the hardcore blue man crew, the stark contrast is endlessly ironic. You go from believing nothing one president says to beleiving everything the next one does? How does that work lol

Completely ignore the truth on real news shows and watch the softball report on MSNBC that refuses to question Wright, Ayers, documentation, responsibility, the energy crisis, etc.

In the end, I think dems who won't admit their party is dirty are simply embarrassed to do so. How does it look blaming everything on Bush and then saying, "oh, wait a minute ... maybe my guys are messing up too."
