Where was the last place you lived? |
| |
| Do you remember where you used to live before you moved to where you are now? I used to live in Marrietta, Georgia. Before that, I used to live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Before that, I had spent a little time in Georgia. Before Georgia, I was in Miami, Florida. And before that, I was in Haiti and I moved to three different cities in Haiti. Was it better than where you're currently living? Do you miss it? Do you still visit it once in a while? Did you have a bad experience when you used to live there? | | | | | |

| | We lived in Dorset (England). Before that, I lived in Kent and was born in North-East Essex. I haven't been back to Kent since I left, went down to Dorset 9 years ago and Essex 3 years ago - both for funerals unfortunately. I have good and bad memories of all the places i've lived. | | | | | | |

| | I know what you mean. There are some memories that you just wish you could have left behind along with the places that you left. I've actually never heard of North-East Essex. Is it pretty? | | | |

| | I currently live in Indiana, but before that I lived in Lexington, KY. I still have family that lives there so I do get to visit from time to time. Before I lived in KY I lived in Brooklyn, NY where I was born & raised. I miss NY but not enough to move back there. It is way too exspensive & the people there are just to rude. People in KY & in Indiana are a lot more nicer, more friendlier even. I like that. Of course we will be moving again soo although I am unsure where just yet. My husband's job will be moving him to manage a new jewelry store we just haven't be told where it will be just yet. I just hope it's a nice area with nice people. Thats all I hope for. | | | | | | |

| | I live on the edge of a coastal town in the south west. I have lived here since 2005. Before that I lived in village three miles from a historic city in the south east. I lived there since 1991 but I left it to travel around the world, go to university and take up my first teaching position. Now I live close to my mum and sister but they used to be one and a half and two hours away from me respectively. Train fares are expensive in my home country so I am keen to go overseas rather to go back to where I used to live. I wonder what it was like when you lived in Haiti. I love tropical weather but I live in a cold country. | | | | | | |

| | I remember in Haiti I used to live in a village. It was really pretty and peaceful. The people were really friendly and helpful. I used to go to the beach all the time during the summer with my family. The colors were always so vivid. The sky was so blue and the ocean was always so calm. But right now, all the media ever talks about are the terrible place. Every country has an ugly side. But no need to listen to me rant on and on. You would love in the Caribbeans, but if not the Caribbeans, maybe Hawaii.. | | | |

| | I am from Ocean City, Maryland 21842. But have to be an expatriate in Malaysia due to my family business. Where, my Late mom(died 8.8.2008) from Malaysia and my father from Maryland(still alive, 75). I cam here Dec. 2006 and will be permanently back to Maryland Dec 2010. Of course, I do miss my homeland as I left many close friends there and impatiently wait for the back home date. Am not having any bad experience here, only at the beginning especially on writing, where here they are using UK English which some terms quite weird for me. Let say for; cookies and biscuit, chocolate and sugar/sweet, truck and lorry...and they said mine is wrong!...peerrgghh! quite headache. Quite many more things which is now I am very familiar with the changes. I wrote "check" and they said "No No No" not check, it is "cheque". So not much can help, emmmmm!...better follow them and theirs in this matter. But one more thing that I gain, I can learn their language which is quite easy as the pronunciation follows the alphabets, the vocal and the consonant. Like "saya"...pron.: sur_year. "Saya" means I. | | | | | | |

| | That's great that you're adjusting. Yeah, spelling can be quite a headache. I remember when I first came to the US, I didn't why they spelled some of their words wrong here. I thought they couldn't spell and I was always right. One of the reasons why I thought they spelled some words wrong is because they defined the same thing in country and I thought the kids in my class didn't know how to spell. But I learned that no two countries are alike. Of course. But I was young and was still learning, even now. | | | |

| | I have lived in seven places in the last 12 years. I hope the moving stops soon. We have small children and I would like them to stay in one home for longer than a year. I lived in Staunton, Va to Titusville, fl then Port St. John,Fl then Raphine Va then cocoa fl then port st john again, then alabama. I really loved Florida. | | | | | | |

| | I like Florida a lot too. I really enjoy Miami. But the only other place I've been was Orlando, so that does say a lot about my Florida experiences. But moving a lot does tend to keep your children form making long lasting friendships. But the upside of moving around is that you do get to meet new people and experience new things. The downside is that it can be quite a scary and nerve-racking thing. You have to start all over and stuff. | | | |

| | Life is certainly full of change and adjustments. My children have not only learned to adjust, but they have conquered adjustments. They "go with the flow" if you will. The kids are great and they do adjust better than adults. Kids follow your lead though. If you don't like something, neither do the kids. We try to keep a positive outlook. | | | |

| | I remember living right down the street, then I moved into my grandma's house. I honestly liked the old house better. It had a bigger backyard and plenty of space. The house I am currently living in feels much more crammed. | | | | | | |

| | You've moved around a lot. I have too. First I was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Then I moved to Nebraska. This was when I was a teenager. I hated it there! Then I moved to Topeka Kansas. I was there for a long time. Till into my early 30s. It was ok. Got cold in the winter with freezing rain. Scorching hot summers too. The humidity was awful. Then I moved back to Colorado Springs, Co. Then I moved to California and have been there now for over 7 years. I love it here the most. Over all the places. | | | | | | |
