 Traditionally, friday the 13th has been associated with superstition and bad luck.
But for me, it has always been a day of good luck....
Today, I received a parcel. It was my cell phone I had ordered. The only problem was, there were 2 and not one. Yup, they also sent me a blackberry which I did not order. I called the company and they have no record of sending it. I will however, return it.
On the other hand, I was driving to the local market this morning when the delivery truck was just arriving. He didnt make the turn and ended up in the ditch. A big 18 wheeler..I bet hes thinking that friday the 13th really sucks!!
How about you? Is friday the 13th a good luck or bad luck day or does it make no difference?

1.  maezee (4526) | 10 months ago |  That's an interesting view on Friday the 13th, and you are probably VERY generous for returning the extra phone you got. I know a lot of people who would keep it and sell it to a pawn shop.
To me, Friday the 13th is all in our heads (possibly this is because nothing bad has ever happened to me on this day, though). I feel like it's made for people with superstitions (and I'm not one of 'em). I have no particular feelings toward Friday the 13th.

| elai03 (12) | 10 months ago |  this discussion is interesting.. friday the 13th. yesterday is also friday the 13th so my mom and my brother keep on telling me that i will avoid going out because they think that it will be going to be a bad day its one of the superstitious beliefs.. but for me, i dont believe in superstitions.. so i dont also believe that friday the 13th is a bad day because i dont find any explanations why it will going to be a bad day.. haha:)) maybe for those who believe in these have experiences already like u.. so that's it..:))

I knew something about this superstition that prevails on your side of the globe though no. 13 is globally known as an unlucky number. But interestingly like you all good things have happened to me either on 13 or on Friday. I was born on Friday and my son was born today on 13 march 2002.
I read thereafter the origin and was shocked to know that on such day US itself lose 600 thousand million dollar in business as people are within the four walls. I felt wow we are too reasoned to be patted on that we have no such morbid fear like those there.

Yes the number 13 in general is associated with bad luck. WE have no 13th floor in some buildings and other things that lack the number 13. Our local hospital has no beds on the 13th floor either. Its really very amusing that people take it so seriously. To me, its no more than superstition, although I tend to look at the positive things that have happened on that day! We have enough real things in life to fear without being worried about number 13! | |

For me, I consider Friday the 13th as the same as any other day of the week. I can't remember anything that brought me bad luck during this day. One thing I am sure, 13th of September is always a lucky day for me coz its my birthday.

There is no good or bad connotation to the day as far as I am concerned because I don't think of luck in that way. Nothing has ever happened to me bad on any Friday the 13th of any year that I remember.. and if it did.. it could have happened on any other day as well.
