Do you think Easter eggs are a waste of money?

With Easter not far away, there are a lot of Easter eggs in the shops. I always think that they are a waste of money, and have so much packaging. When you think of the weight of chocolate you are getting, it is much cheaper to buy bars of chocolate. I know they taste a bit different, but I actually prefer the taste of bars anyway. How about you - will you be buying Easter eggs this year?

When I was small, I used to like different packages colorful Easter egg a lot and liked those had toys inside. But now I don't really care about Easter eggs anymore. I did buy 2 big packages of Cadbury easter egg chocolate couple weeks ago though because somebody gave me couple and I loved it! hehe

I suppose in some ways it's a waste of money, but I'll still purchase a bag of them. I only get the small colorful wrapped ones for the grandkids Easter baskets, and the smile on their faces looking at them (and eating them) is well worth the sale price I pay for them. When I used to eat chocolate, I often thought that the regular plain candy bars are much more tasty than those little choco eggs. Still, the little ones are cute additions when making up an Easter basket.

I think those are a good idea as a treat for children, and they don't have all that packaging.

A small bar of chocolate suitable for vegans is about 80 pence. A large bar of it would be about one pound and fifty pence. However an Easter egg that is vegan might be four pounds and ninety nine pence. It is a waste of money and for five pounds I could buy a few delicious bars of chocolate. That would be the best choice for me. The packaging of Easter eggs can be terrible because all the person will want is the Easter egg. They are likely to throw the packaging away.

When I was a kid, our parents would boil a bunch of eggs, then we would all dye them different colors. They would hide them, and we would have to go find them. I never really saw the point in it though. I don't really eat a lot of boiled eggs, so I never really tried very hard to find them. LOL

I suppose the taking part is what counts! Although chocolate eggs are definitely more exciting.
