i dont have a car on any vehicle that will use petrol or diesel. but i read a lot of tip on magazines and even also here at mylot. but unfotunately people still insist to ride their cars even they will only go to a near errand. they no longer ride their bicycle and drive manually but they would rather ride on their motor bikes that uses gas. i think it is good to save fuel. it is for our own good. maybe i dont have a car but i still ride on a public vehicle that uses pertol.

We should all quit wasting fuel. There is a move to restore train service here where I live and I hope they accomplish it. A train can move a ton of goods for 300 miles on one gallon of gas! A truck takes about 33-40 gallons for the same distance! The convenience of trains to commuters and travelers is good, too. We in the U.S. must stop thinking of cars as our own private little cocoons and get some good mass transit, like the trains.

I am fortunate as my little car does not use a great deal of fuel and I don't drive very much. Walking is certainly an excellent way to save petrol and good for the health as well! I'm not sure if turning the car off at traffic signals is worthwhile due to unnecessary stress on the battery, starter motor, alternator etc...
You are right it is our responsibility not to waste these resources!

I save fuel buy ride sharing a lot. When one of my friends or my sister has to go to the store, we with each other or if it is just a few items we pick it up for each other. That way you don't have 5 different people going to the store for just milk and bread. You have one going for 5 loafs and 5 gallons. It does save gas.

Yes, I am very conscious of saving fuel wherever I can. I only use the car if I absolutely have to, otherwise I walk or ride my bicycle; that way, I am not only saving fuel (and money), but it's healthier for me, and better for the environment!

YEah, i do save fuel by choosing not to drive at all, and not buying a car or motorbike.. lol =D I always take public transport to wherever i go.. PLus, if possible, i will either run or take to those near destination so that i can keep myself healthy too.. hehe ^_^
However, i do take alot of planes because i'm travelling quite often, about once every 2months or so.. hehe ^_^
