This morning My grandson and I went out for breakfast. We went to a buffet place we have been before and the food had been pretty good. This morning it was terrible. Everything was just very greasy and oily. The biscuits were very doughy. I just couldn't eat it.
I decided to have some fruit but they didn't have very much of that, just some green pineapple.
I'm not a fussy eater but this was just bad. We will not go back there again. I was really hungry. We should have gone to one of the fast food places. At least they food tastes good. The only thing palatable was the coffee.

I am sorry it was such a bad experience. There must have been new people or new management from the last time you ate there. If I am going to go to the trouble to go out somewhere to eat, I sure would like the experience to be a half way decent one. I would like to encourage you to find a place that is good on the budget but an experience for your grandson that will expand his horizons.

aww deebomb... hugs...
that sounds awful... hmmm... you said you went there before and the foods are great and now they aren't edible enough to be eaten by humans =P... maybe there are changes in the crew in the kitchen or maybe they haven't monitored the going ons there that day...
maybe you can try going back there when you felt like checking if the food are up to par after this incident...
...
God bless... ^_^

Thats too bad. did you cmplain and ask for your money back. I would have, lots of time, places like that will give your money back. My mom and I went to a buffett place, she had just got done with a medical test and couldn't eat, she managed to eat a piece of pineapple. I went and asked for the money back, not for my food just for hers. She had told me to let it go, not me, I had to at least try. They gave me the money back, you can't get it unless you ask. I am easy to please, and normally don't complain. But if something is really bad I will say something.

Don't you just hate when that happens?! It kind of makes you wonder how they stay in business because they probably don't have any loyal patrons. I've noticed one thing about places like that (when it was good once, and the next time it wasn't), it usually seems to have to do with having a new cook and the old one doesn't work there anymore. Pretty sad when the only thing that tastes normal and good is the coffee lol.

That's what I thought a new cook and maybe several cooks. They had Texas toast that was just almost dripping in grease as far as taste goes. Every thing just greasy tasting. My Grandson seemed to not notice how bad it tasted. What does that say about my cooking?

Dont you hate when that happens? When a good place goes bad? It makes you wonder if it was just an "off day" or not (even though no restaurant should ever have an off day in my opinion..) It bums me out especially when it is a small restaurant rather than a chain. I feel like in this day and age we need to be supporting family/small owners rather than chains in order to help boost our economy again. I have had this happen to me before, though, and normally when I am faced with something like this I will swear off the place in a hissy fit, and a month later be reluctant to try again. Sometimes I find that the place just had a bad day, and sometimes I find that it went completely downhill.
It's a shame!
I have always worked in the food industry, and one thing I have learned is "never serve something that you wouldn't eat yourself"
I think everyone needs to hear this rule!

I think you need to look for another
restaurant which has a better service that can provide.

Wow..that is not good!
I am sure they will lose their customers if the service is like that!

If you've been there before and it was good, maybe they were just having an off day. On the other hand, if they were under new management, it might be the way things are there now. It's easy for me to say you should have said something, but I'm not sure I would have, either. These days most businesses really don't care if you are happy with them.

If the food was good before and suddenly bad one day, they may have had a different cook from at that time. You might speak to the manager about the ill prepared food. That cook should be sent to some classes before he/she ends up giving someone food poison.

Yes,it is very unhappy when we come in one restaurant which the food is not good. I think maybe they change boss,so this time they did not support good food.Anyway, in my opinion,I won't go to one restaurant if their good is very bad last time.

Maybe they had a new manager or cooks in the kitchen. If I was there I would have told them that the buffet wasn't up to snuff and they needed to make some new food that was actually edible. Any manager that would cause a scene about something like that shouldn't be in food service. I could see a couple things being a little off but not the whole buffet. I would have asked for new food or told them I wasn't going to pay for something that was inedible.
