My grandkids and I live together. They are 20 and 22. My grandson works part time at a video game store. The other night he brought home a movie and told me his manager told him I couldn't watch it. His girlfriend came ovre and I told her that lee said I couldn't watch this movies and she agreed with him So did my granddaughter. It used to be my job to censer their movies now they are censering mine. I probably wouldn't have wanted to watch it any way but i thought how funny it was to have them all looking out for me and my movie watching. They are great kids

I had to laught at that one. That is one story I have never heard before. Thanks for giving me something to LOL about. Why not watch it with them? There is no movie ever made that is appropriate for the 20 somethings that is not appropriate for an older person. Who knows, it could have been one of those x rated movies and your grandkids would have been embarrassed by watching somthing like that in your presence. Anyhow, ty for the twist that has not been heard of before.

We usually do watch a lot of different kind of movies together but some just don't interest me. It was probably one of those really bloody gorie ones. I just don't like those

Oh my, that is funny. What kind of movie was it? Were they worried that you would have nightmaes, or was it R rated and they didn't think you were old enough for it.

I really don't know what the movies was but I'll bet it was one of those rated r movies with lots of bedroom scenes in it. They probably thought I was too old to watch it. My grandson like to tease me about being around when the dinosaurs were traipsing the earth.

Hehehe, that is just TOO funny lol. Kind of neat though that they are so protective of their Grandmother! There are some of the new movies that I wish somebody would have forbade ME to watch lol (the movie Saw comes to mind right off! Ewwwwww, that gave me nightmares to say the least!) That is wonderful that they care so much. They do sound like great kids, but then they have a great (wonderful) Gramma :-) Thanks for sharing with us!

Saws was a movie that I knew I didn't want to see. I figured It would give me nightmares. I don't care for the blood and gore movies. It was probably one of those s3xie movies that have a lot of bedroom scenes. I do get tired of them. They do a great job of taking care of me.

Kids do many things that make us older people laugh at. That's also a way to keep us young. Be with the kids and feel young at heart.

They sound really great kids. They are being over protective and of course they don't want to watch anything with you there that may be embarrassing to watch. It is an age thing. I used ot censor my children too and my 3 boys were so protective of what their baby sister watched. This is really funny. Blessings

Life would be very boring with out kids wouldn't it? Brothers are very protective of their baby sisters. That's what big brothers are supposed to do.

It can be interesting as kids get older how they continue to look at things always wanting to shelter and protect people older than them as well. I guess when it came to something like this, maybe they knew this was not your type of movie, or felt it would be of your best interest to not watch it. But I can see how that is interesting in them wanting to look out for you now as well.

We have come full circle haven't we? But it is funny..when our children, grand children (even tho' I don't have any yet) censor things for us! Not just censoring, but I laugh when my son has advice for me...not that I don't heed it, but it was not too many years ago it was vice-versa! When he is really adament about something...I ask "did you listen to me?" LOL! Cheers!

Isn't it funny how we go from knowing every thing to knowing nothing and back to knowing a lot then not knowing much again. Their idea of our smarts keeps changing as they get older.

If you are a goof parent you will often make your children angry when you don't always let them do what they want.

My own grandmother raised me and I said I wouldn't raise any grandkids but when it came to the crunch how could I not? I think I'm the one lucky to have them.
