Have you considered going into the firewall software's control panel to configure it to accept access into the various sites?

If you are unfamiliar, then try to enable block alerts so that when the software is blocking the sites and seeking your permission, you can enable it and resolve your inaccessibility issues.

Which firewall are you using? First,Scan you computer with good anti virus and if there is no detection of virus then uninstall any external firewall and check inbuilt windows firewall (For windows system) "ON" mode. If it was disable then make it active.

Do you use the firewall that comes with windows or are you referring to a third party firewall? I'm using the windows firewall and it works perfectly. There should be something in the configuration settings area of your firewall that allows you select which sites to allow through, this can also be carried out in Internet Options. device or set of devices configured to permit,deny,encrypt,decrypt,or proxy all

criteria.
Firewalls can be implemented in both hardware and software,or a combination of
both. firewalls are frequently used to prevent unauthorised internet users from
accesing private nrtworks connected to the internet,especially intranets.

My firewall dont block a site i used a lot because i put it on my exclusion sites that the firewall will give it access. See firewall from windows and firewall from the antivirus you have in your computer. like mcafee has its own firewall, that is the example. even if you closed your firewall in your windows. you have another firewall from your antivirus. but not all anti virus have the firewall included in its software.

I am having a similar problem but only with PTC sites and I think Avast is blocking them instead of my firewall. I had to quit a few PTC sites because of it but I'm not upset with Avast, I'm upset with the PTC sites for trying to put mal-ware on my computer!!
