why do men not wear good smelling stuff like they use to??

I still wear my colognes every day! It's part of my daily routine before going out, cleaning my teeth then squirting on the cologne, I have two favourites which are Joop! which the ladies like and they always comment on it, it's fruity, and CKOne which is also a favourite, they have great smells and I feel more confident when I have them on me if that makes sense? So fear not some men still smell good!

Hello ANTIQUELADY! It's me again..hehehe.. That's what I was wondering too. Most men doesn't like to use cologne or perfume unless for special occassions. My husband always wear cologne or perfume even those ordinary days and that's the reason why I love to hug him all the time..hehe..

ha what a question for us mens. , i don't know any answer to it, it is just because we like to were it alone. its also because fell free wearing it, u know its too open and airy in that outfit.well but some times in summers i don't wear them when going out because it sweats inside too much then.

I remember those days. Some of the newer mens after shave smells like a flower field and some is just too spicy. Just a tad is enough in my opinion.

I wonder if what used to make men smell so good was aftershave. I think most men don't use that anymore. They found that it contained alcohol and would dry out their faces. I don't really think I see it much in the stores anymore. Hmmmm..... good question.

I agree that I like a man the smells good, but a dab will do. I actually believe that this is no longer the trend because so many people in this world suffer from allergies and perfumes irritate thses allergies. So if the man lives in a home where anyone has allergies or he has allergies then he is not going to wear cologne.

It is also true that men to not shave like they did went it was habit to use preshave and aftershave. Electric razors changed some of that. Men are more aware of their skin these days to and will not want to dry it out using products that are hard on the skin like old fashioned aftershaves. Aftershave has a lighter fragrance than many colognes.

Not to change the subject but as an objective I would like to know why mens colognes are not as hard on people with allergies as womens.

Yea, i don't know why, but i have a thing for men that smells great....Especially when they walk right past me, the smell just slamms into your face and it's lovely...I like that some men are taking care of their own well being, like bothering to smell good, put on nice clothes and have a neat and suitable haircut...I know some men, or boys that don't even do that, they said they don't like to...Well, it's okay if you don't want to put on colonge but at least comb the hair...haha..I hope you guys will start/continue bathing yourself in perfume for girls like me to sniff ya around....lol!^_^

Some guys do, but if they do not shave, they probably do not. There are so many other scented grooming products, maybe they are afraid the smells will clash. Things like scented deoderants. Maybe you are just around the wrong men, except for your good smelling son.

I like my men smelling good too.I think they have just got to lazy to clean up before they go out.You would think your grandson would smell good if he was covered in stick weed.lol Take it easy.

It could be that more people find it offensive. I cannot be around anyone that reeks of the stuff. Most of the ones (men and women) pour it on like they are taking a bath in it. I have asthma and I can't tolerate it on myself for the most part. I can occasionally find something I can wear. I remember my dad wore old spice, and I guess he thought he smelled good... but it was loud to me. I guess I have a sensitive nose.. and I'm very asthmatic, so most colognes would set me to coughing and wheezing.
