All former Yuwie-ites or people who are thinking of leaving Yuwie, opinons?

I was basically all of the above for me. The earnings were so low and you had to have referrals to really earn anything which I just got bored with trying to find ways to get them.. I got bored with the site and the constant blogs on getting more referrals and the impersonalness of it all.

I never really left I just quit being online. I put all money making opp on the back burner and was actually working. When I joined I was a homemaker. I was home all the time and was able to blog post get referrals and be able to keep the referrals active but once I stopped so did the referral activity. I am restarting. I figure the site is for socializing and networking. Most people use it for promoting all the other programs. I don't have not one serious beef about yuwie. I figure if I get one penny that is more than what i get on myspace. Myspace does have better activities to do but yet they have the money backing it to do it all.

I got bored with the site real quick. I added a bunch of friends thinking they'd help me make a lot of money, but all they did was spam me. I never deleted the account, but I haven't logged into it in months.

I signed up there, and was there for quite a while. It just got to the point where it wasn't worth the time I spent there. I would hit more than a hundred profiles a day, and I might have 5 hits on my own profile.
Then there was all the spamming on my comments page.
I was there for 6 months, I think, and earnings were not even at a dollar, at that point. As hard as I worked at it, it just didn't work for me.

YOu know, when you are hitting profiles, and not getting any hits on your own, it just gets kind of discouraging.

One good thing to come from being on Yuwie, I met someone with whom I still communicate . In part, he is responsible for all these dancing women running around on mylot today.*L* He encouraged me to work on my art by asking me if I would be interested in doing a book cover for him. I still do graphics work for him.

I am a member but I've never bothered to do much there. I don't dislike the site but I distrust its earnings algorithm. It is not a bad place for networking but all of the people there seem to be after one thing ... money - and you to supply it.

I suppose that there are many sites on this Internet-earth and some are OK for some and not for others. Yuwie just doesn't seem to be the place for me (which is, perhaps, my loss and not theirs). I think that one can do the same thing with many blogging/networking sites and, perhaps, have less competition from those who are just out to sell their 'Make $5,000 a week' programs.

Social networking sites are about meeting new people and making friends. But I didnt find any of this in Yuwie, people were fixated on earnings and only wanted to increase their earnings and promote their other online sites. I got sick of the people, the little to no enjoyment i was having and the pay rate. My issue with the pay rate was we only earned 10% of our activities (from memory) We should earn something like 80%.

all of the above...a lot of work...and didnt actually gain much from your effort......but there's two good things...i met a lot of nice people there...became friends....and....i met my bf there....

There are many reasons I deleted my account. One is the earnings. It was a mere pittance at best. Secondly, I just didn't get to know people like I do on this site. It was more an exchange of fairy graphics rather than a meeting of the minds. It got to be a bit boring after awhile. Just not really worth the time.

1. No friendly newsletter. We could use a weekly e-newsletter letting us know what is changing or upcoming to the site.

2. Enforce more effectively the terms of service. People are still getting away with posting outside material on their profiles or on the notice board directing to an outside source in their blogs.

3. More benefits and better layout. The site looks like a 10 year old child set it up. The layout needs to scream originality and luster.

4. Smileys & emoticons can brighten an ordinary comment. The use of smileys and emoticons in the comments for people who choose not to view the html would bring a smile to our friends.

5. Music is good for the soul. We are losing friends to MySpace again because it lacks a music section.

6. RSR vs CPM. The earnings are low. Yuwie should be set to a minimum on it's earnings that it can't drop below of a definite figure.

7. Paypal, Alertpay and other forms of payment. The check option should be reinstated due to the fact that not everyone has or is willing to have an online payment processor. Checks are a more solid trail of payment.

8. Viewable levels of referrals. Members should be allowed to view their referrals through to level 10. This will allow us to help those referrals should their sponsor lack in support.

9. The ability to copy a friend's pictures from albums or anywhere else on the profile. Those of us who are photographers and want to secure our pictures shouldn't be subjected to having their material copied or saved by other people. There is a good chance that the right person will come along, save the picture and be capable of selling it as their own work. Give us back our copyrights and take out the codes currently in place.

10. I left Yuwie because of the drama and nothing more. I came back because friends cried.

Well I'm still a yuwie user but I just don't visit it as often. I like the idea of being able to look right on the toolbar and I can see my earnings. Yuwie is fine but I can't have anyone thinking that I'm gonna be there for them all the time. There is no friend on this planet that can be available to us 24/7, 365......... so the whole structure of it is kind of missleading........ Even still I will probably keep the site open just so that I can break the monotony from time to time.
