All former Yuwie-ites or people who are thinking of leaving Yuwie, opinons?

I was one who signed up on Yuwie back in Aug. of 2007 when the site was brand new. I quickly realized I wasn't going to make any money to speak of. Since joining

I've earned $26!

I was able to accumulate about 500 referrals. Most of them quit, or just never logged back in when they experienced the 'report for referral' policy that Korry Rogers, site administrator, put into effect early on. His reasoning for this policy was that he did not have the time to make sure members were adhering to the TOS. So, members were rewarded for reporting infractions. This started a wave of paranoia and greed on Yuwie that is still driving people off the site. You were instrumental in getting this policy reversed.:) Thank you!

But it was to late for my referrals.:(

And now it seems if you have many, many referrals and garner tons of page views for the site, you can do as you please and nothing is said. Recently a friend was locked (unable to use her profile) for 'bashing the site and not keeping social networking fun'! Her and another member exchanged heated notices on the public message board...and NOTHING was said about their cursing or flaming. Only that she bashed Yuwie!

I had made up my mind that I would concentrate on my friends..and YES there are many talented and fascinating people on Yuwie...if you take the time to get to know them rather than just handing out comments/page views.But that became difficult to do as I made some VIP's upset when I called them out for their violations of the TOS.

I got very upset at a particular user on Yuwie who loves to push his 'weight' around and deleted my account. I had been accused by this member of writing controversial blogs merely to get page views. What he doesn't like is I question things I see that are wrong or unfair. What he doesn't like is I am very vocal when I see injustices such as referral poaching, bullying, harassment, and favoritism toward certain members.

So when I decided to sign back on, I decided NOT to seek referrals, nor would I accept them if I was given them for my activity on the site (as random referrals). I also did not fill out the payment info, assuring that I won't make any money.So much for his accusations of my being only concerned with page views.

I've tried to stay out of the controversy between members since signing back on. But have found that the bullys and those who truely love drama will find you no matter what. Recently, my blog describing my Yuwie experience (written on blogspot) gained a comment from a Yuwie member who wanted to stir things up again. Apparently, I've earned the title of 'Drama Queen.'

Why did I return?...do I love Yuwie? Not any more than you would love the 'hang out' where you interact with your friends. As a dear friend who is no longer on Yuwie once said to me.."Yuwie is merely the door we go through to meet with beloved friends".

I don't know but for me, i still like to be with the site because i found good friend there.
The earning is slow, and pop up ads is there. This things doesn't make me to give up and think i will delete my account, i only quit but i got back again when i have already time.
Active referrals are helpful to earn there much. If you don't have and you only work for yourself it is really hard.
I do receive spam emails, but it is tolerable for me one or two in month.

I got tired of all the advertisements on Yuwie. The advertisements are very confusing. My earning in Yuwie is very low and it is not updated. So, I think that Yuwie is almost near to become a scam.

I was one of those who migrated there along with other friends. At the same time, many were unhappy with MyLot because of this rogue moderator (as I called him) deleting guideline-compliant discussions while others that were blatant violations stayed & lingered. I also used to be friends with someone who was a MyLot moderator who had his moderator abilities removed.

Having two years of administrative experience from running a site called cashglow, I do tend to see things differently, such as having that ability to say "That won't work." Did R.K. listen? Nope. That reinforced that rat race. Programmers & builders try to make things idiot-proof, & the universe tries to produce a better idiot. R.K. must have been what the universe unleashed.

I have been unhappy with the notion that you make money at Yuwie. $5 a year is not money. The few folks at its inception are making worthwhile money. The rest no.
I do value Yuwie for its FREE image hosting though. I have utilized that service a lot, it functions perfectly-I never saw a image not available error. I also have found Yuwie to be a wonderful test bed for my writing. If Yuwie users don't like it-I figure no one else will either. I value all my friends input at Yuwie. I was unhAPPY WITH THE INSTITUTION OF catchpas with every friend request. It makes it painful.
I had erased my profile in protest for awhile. But resumed because Yuwie still has the very best system for creating fun and exciting web pages. MySpace rejects far to much code and is dying. Yuwie will eventually to. The web is vapor wear. Always will be-here today gone tommorrow.

I belong to Yuwie, but I don't sign in there very often. Maybe once every few months. I keep coming back to mylot, I will go through phases where I don't respond to any discussions here and then I will pick it right backup where I left off. Currently I have been spending a lot of my time on Facebook. So I don't really have too much of an opinion on Yuwie, or should I say can I give a fair opinion of yuwie, since I don't spend much time there. The pay scale for the work I did do wasn't worth my time is all I can say.
