Where can I find a Cast Iron Skillet????  

You can find them everywhere!...

but no seriously, the great indoors has them, Target has them, almost any commercially advertising store has them. go check em out!

Do a search for lodge cast iron skillets. They have them for sale online and lodge is a great brand of cast iron. They carry skillets, dutch ovens, and a whole lot more. I believe they ship at a reasonable cost also.

OK I have 6 cast iron skillets that have been handed down to me from my great grandma to my ma to me. How did you burn up her skillet? A true cast iron skillet can be brought back from damage as long as it has not been cracked or busted. All you have to do is go buy a can of shortening (a cheap brand) coat the skillet completely really thick coat of shortening all over the inside and outside of skillet. Let it set for 2-4 days and then the best thing to do is put the coated skillet into the fieplace with a well lit fire, but now since the weather is warmer, you can wipe of the shortening with a paper tool, NOT CLEAN IT ALL OFF JUST THE EXCESS, and then stick it in the oven that was preheated at 500 degrees for 20 minutes, and then take it out and let it cool competely. There should be no grease to wipe off. DO NOT wash it, just cook in it. Also anytime you wash any cast iron skillet never let it dry naturally or with a towel always put it in a heated oven of about 350 degrees to dry, this keeps it from rusting and/or thinning that causes cracks.

Try garage sales. That is where I found my big one. There is usually someone who is clearing out their house. The next place would be at Walmart or a Hardware store, especially one that deals with camping. People love a cast iron skillet for camping because you can clean it with sand.

Tell me how you ruined it? I'm not sure how you could have burned it up. Mine made it through a house fire. We were able to scrub it down and reseason it and I'm still using it!

The best place is a store that sells kitchen and bathroom stuff, but not the big electronic equipment like stoves, washers, dryers, and dish washers. They will sell small conventional ovens, and mixmasters, blenders, anything that can be put in a cart and wheel out to your van. This is whhere do you normally get your pots and pans other then at Walmart or K-Mart, the ones that usually you find on a wedding register. Here in Canada, the place where you get the best Kitchen stuff is at Home Outfitters. That is because these stores deal in kitchen and bathroom stuff alone and do not do anything else so they will buy those specials that only a few are interested in.
