 Well for me i can leave with the truth no matter how painful it gets but I can never leave with the lie.... I am not perfect person and I may not always say the truth by not answering when asked. For me it's better to keep silent then answer with a lie. How about you my friend which does hurt you the most the truth of the lie?

No matter how hurt it could be then, but i think it is always be better to tell the truth than lie. I appreciate honest people so much,and i always try to be honest too.

no matter how painful it can be, it's much better to be truthful. lies can cost us a lot in the long run and it's hard to live with. i can live with the consequences of the truth. i don't think i could accept the consequences of a lie.
i don't want to be lied to, because it's an act of intent. even if that person did not intend for me to be hurt, he may have intented for me to not know the truth either. i'd rather face up to the truth, because at least i know what i'm facing at. with a lie, you wouldn't know...

yes people may take it the wrong way, no matter what we say. some people would rather not know. they'd rather be kept in the dark than be hurt. because then they could pretend everything's ok... when it's not.
the truth and the lie can both hurt a person, albeit differently. but tell the truth anyway. it may not be the best thing to do... but it's the right thing to do. | |

The truth hurts most if it is something unpleasant or something that we didn't expect to be true. Like for example, the truth might hurt if we have found out that our girlfriend was a man before. lol! Just an example ok? I seriously think that any truth that isn't told is considered a lie. Actually both can hurt pretty bad at times.
It is like what people say;"What you don't know, don't hurt."
Problem is when you find out. Then you feel double hurt.
As long as you don't know, there is nothing wrong.
I have been hurt in life with lies. But, I have been hurt with the truth too.
Either way it hurts.
I cannot say one hurt less than the other.
Personally I try to be honest at all times. But that is because when I lie I forget what I have said. So I rather say the truth. 
I can understand a little white lie, like Santa Claus. But a lie should not be able to hurt someone. I have lied before telling a person she looks great, when accually I did not like how she looked. But, when someone asks you, and you don't know the person very well. Then I try to leave them in there opinion. I try to respect there choice so to speak. When it is a girl friend and she asked me, I will tell her the truth, because I know her. And when I ask I would want to know the truth too.
So, there are different kinds of lies and truths. Know what I mean?
Let's not forget, nobody is perfect. That is why we have forgiveness.
That is why we can talk to each other, to solve whatever is wrong.
We all make mistakes.
