which hurts the most the TRUTH or the LIE?

A truth can hurt me more . A saving lie is better than a killing truth

Well, I guess both hurts. The truth is a lie in the first place when it is not yet revealed.

They can both hurt, depending on how they are used. The truth can be very bad, but a lie can be nice, until it is found out. I always choose the truth, because, it is easier to remember then any lie I may have to think up. Cheers.

I'm also a lover of truth. So as someone once said, "I'd rather hurt you with the truth than deceive you with a lie." I don't want to hear anyhing but the truth. So long live the truth.

A lie.

I would rather hear the truth no matter what than a lie, no matter how small. I love when people say, "It's only a little white lie". It's still a lie and never just stops at a little white lie. It's gets bigger and bigger. I, too, will remain silent if it's something I don't want to answer, but sometimes some people won't let it go. They will bug and pressure you for an answer, which I then end up saying, "I plead to the 5th and drink to the 6th", which usually gets everyone laughing and then almost always the subject then gets changed.

It doesn't pay to lie anyway, for liars always trip themselves up. They can never remember just exactly what they said anyway. If you want to figure out if you are being lied to, just wait a bit, ask them again, and almost every time you will get a different story.

These are the kind of people I don't bother with or keep them in my life, no way, no how.

Sooner or later lies always bite you so I'll take the truth. But if I know it's going to be painful I always make sure the truth is what they want to hear if not, I just say nothing.

Both are painful, when is not what we want to hear, I rather the truth absolutely without a doubt. It is my decision what I do with the truth, and with that decision, for sure I can live with. My choise!!!

A lie always hurts the most. Lies are a mask always for a deceitful heart. A person who says they lie in order to save others heartache is not really thinking about others. They are really thinking about themselves.

Yes, the truth hurts more to me than a lie..sometimes it can be bery blunt and painful but with me although I stay silent and accept whatever it maybe I do get very emotional and cry but alone...littleowl

Well, I guess if you don't know it's a lie and it never affects you then the lie can be less harmful and less painful. But I think most people would say the truth even if they mucst surpass blissful ignorance to come to grips with it. I think I would prefer teh truth...at least I know that's what I would say if given the chance, still though, I'm sure a part of me wants to be protected though and not have to know the truth if it is terrible. Two things are true about human beings: everyone wants information (the truth) and everyone wants to be happy (as evidenced by almost everything we do). The two desires cannot both be reconcoled at all times. But when they do it is pretty aesome thing that should not be taken for granted.
