which hurts the most the TRUTH or the LIE?  | |  Well for me i can leave with the truth no matter how painful it gets but I can never leave with the lie.... I am not perfect person and I may not always say the truth by not answering when asked. For me it's better to keep silent then answer with a lie. | | | 73. astonysh (1824) | 6 months ago |  If you are a telesales person, then lie to your heart's content, normally nobody will check back on you. Anyone else I would recommend to tell the truth. Soon or later lies get exposed - and deservedly so. I also see no advantage in lying just to prevent someone being hurt emotionally. Telling them the truth is eventually to their advantage, no matter how sensitive they are. A bit of diplomacy will help though.
About the only time that I will happily accept a lie is in the traditional situation when ladies disguise their age - that is often more fun than serious and causes no harm.
