Thinking of getting my own digital camera

there are so many great cameras on the market these days and quite often you can get one on sale. the best advice is to shop around. my daughter just got one and got it for under 100 dollars.

I have one that my ex and I got about 10 years ago. My sons keep telling me to get a new one because it is a big bulky, about the size of an old Kodak of that time. But I think now, and I would advise you to save your money for now. Things are going to get very bad economically, even if they seem to be getting better for awhile. I think you will need that money you would spend on the camera. I think you should hold off for awhile and make do with what you have.

I'm tempted to get a new camera, but I'm conserving all the money I can right now.

I have a cheap digital camera. I have never read up on it to figure out how to use it properly. I may do it soon though because the flash is not working on my 35mm. I would do what you can offord and have to have.

Hello, suspensful, Well, I don't know much about other digital cameras but my own which I paid less then $100 for and it works great still after all these years and I have had it over 8 years. It is a Concord eye. It has zoom when I need it and it lets me view the pics as I take them so if I don't like them I can delete them. But if you feel like it is a expense you don't need atthis time then, I see no problem in continuing to use the one of your husbands.

Remember that MP just means more dots... which means you can blow up your photos. So unless you are looking to make poster-size prints there is no need to have a super-huge MP camera.

So what to look for? That depends on what you want to do with your camera. If you looking to take shots automatically then you want a camera with a very good lens (pentax or nikon).

You can find some of last year's models at Overstock or UBid for not a lot of money.

You have spoken in previous discussions about cutting down on expenses (unless I have you mixed up with another myLot friend) so if you just take pictures occasionally, and hubby's camera still works, you might as well continue using it even though it's older and more cumbersome than the new cameras.

If you use the camera quite often, you might consider it worth the money to get a newer model with more features.

It seems that this digital camera works fine. If you don't want to upgrade a super DSLR, I suggest you to keep your current digital camera. But if you want to buy a DSLR, then I agree to buy it because at least it is a big difference between the normal digital camera:) If you want to buy something, be sure it needs to work better and it is reasonable to buy it.

nowadays, it is a basic gadget one must have. we can never rely on our phone cameras since our cellphones are primarily intended for calling and not for picture taking. The 5 megapixel camera is ok but you can purchase a 7.1 megapixel digital camera at a lower price today. it all depends on what purpose you are going to use it for. i would suggest that you get your one instead of using your hubby's cam. if you want a less expensive good quality digital camera, i suggest you get a kodak.if you can afford it, get a sony carl seize lens digital camera.

10mpx kotak digital camera for $200...canon the same resolution for $220...now days cameras become cheaper ...u can have a good camera of 8mpx for $60- $70..
they are getting good pictures, but they dont offer face detection, smile detection, night face, auto human detection, cyber shot, stand still..
even u can go for 6 mpx camera of sony its around $100, it offers all the features mentioned above...u dont concentrate much on the mexa pixels...a 6 mega pixel can bring downa good quality of picture, so concentrate on the brand and the features available in the product..

I think it is really a personal decision. If you are not happy with the camera you have by all means buy a new one. Mine is a 8.0 MP Nikon that I bought about a year ago and it takes wonderful pictures. It cost me a little under $200. Maybe if you want a different camera sell the one you have on EBAY or craigslist and put the money towards the expense of a new camera. Just a thought. Have a great night!
