Have you ever fainted? (Warning: Not for the weak at heart)

Thank you. You are lucky. I've never fainted before this, but I guess there is a first time for everything.

I have to ask, how in the world did you fake a rash, and how did the doctor come to the conclusion it was scabies?

I wasn't completely alone when I fainted. My oldest son was up, but with him being autistic I scared him and he ran out. I was hoping he'd wake up my husband/his father, but with us all coming down with this thing at the same time it wouldn't have done any good anyway. I'm just thankful that I landed the way I did or I could have seriously hurt myself.

I am really glad that you didn't get hurt too. As for the scabies scare...I sat in French class (who the hell takes French anyway?) and I wanted to get out of the class so badly that I scratched the living hell out of my arms....As for the doctor...do any of them know what they are doing? PLEASE! It was pretty embarrassing to have my dad pick me up at the school in the cop car though....15 or so years later, when I told my mom, she just wanted to kill me....As usual, I didn't see what the big deal was! Yeah, you don't need to tell me twice about doctors. Though I know of at least one that knew what he was doing. Too bad I was too young to remember him. I would love to met up with him again one day, if he's still alive, that is, to thank him because he literally saved my life.

It may sound strange, but I'm a little jealous. My dad never picked me up in his cop car. But then again my parents were divorced by the time I was 10.

Well Doll, my dad picked me up in the cop car because no one else was available...I was embarrassed! I would have done anything to get out of school...I once skipped with my best friend for 2 weeks straight. She got caught, I did not! I felt so bad. Although I did do well in school! Go Figure!
My parents divorced when I was 6 but they remained friends (how she could maintain any friendship is beyond me...I don't care for her very much, if you haven't picked up on that already!) And they also lived about 3 houses away from one another, so I was lucky in that aspect! I am so damn tired right now, I haven't had more than 3-4 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours! Would it be Ok if you PM'd me & gave me your email? I may jump out of this Lot pretty soon and I would like to keep in touch! Just put your name in the subject line...Deal?

2 weeks? That's nothing! I skipped school for a lot longer than that. It's amazing that I graduated at all (and on time I might add)! LOL

Yep, I pretty much picked up on how you feel about your mom a few discussions back. It's weird, but cool, that your parents lived so close to each other after they divorced. My dad was a couple hours drive, so I rarely saw my dad. And he came over less and less the older I got (most likely due to his new family at that point). But maybe it was better that way. Now that I think about it I guess it would have been pretty embarrassing if I would have gotten picked up by him in his police car, for the wrong reasons that is.

Hey, if you think 2 weeks is bad...I almost didn't graduate...had I missed just ONE more day, I was done for! I also used to slug a six pack with my friends every morning before school. I was just the model student! But...I had a B average and only needed one credit to graduate...figure that one out! I got your PM, I just need your name now...I did reply to your PM a little while ago! I don't wanna lose you as a friend either!

I never downed any six packs, but I did almost not graduate either. However, I turned in my work (I went to an alternative school, after the normal public schooling thing didn't work out) on the very last day that I could and made it just in the nick of time! Of course, I could have graduated 6 months earlier, since I was doing so well, but after I met my husband I slacked off! Whoops!

I don't feel comfortable sharing my name on here, but I did put it in my PM (which you probably already read by now). Hope you understand.

Take your time...I'll be up for a while & try to remember that it is a possibility to have people that you do get along with and also others that you do not get along with! You and I have an awful lot in common...I will certainly understand whatever you decide! You can always choose to have both too ya know! No hard feeling, either way!

I probably did at one point, but I didn't get to check. The thermometer was out of reach. It was hard enough to get up to puke and use the bathroom. Other than those two things I was pretty much in bed sleeping.

I doubt a doctor could do anything for me now. I'm feeling better anyway. Plus they are so damn costly. I tend to avoid them like the plaque, though if I was getting worse instead of better I'd probably be seeing them by now.

I'm feeling better, though still a little nauseous. I can stand for longer periods too, thank goodness. All that bed rest was driving me crazy! But my body knew it was needed and I for one wasn't going to ignore what my body said.

I hope your mom feels better soon!

Passing out can be a very frightening thing. However, I didn't have time to be frightened. I passed out before I even knew what hit me.

I have to ask, what exactly do you mean that your son's eye's were bulging out? Like they were popping out of their sockets? I didn't know a sinus infection could make the eyes do that. Weird.

I hope your son's feeling a lot better now!

Tell me about it! I couldn't do anything, other than sleep, when I was feeling as poorly as I was. I'm just thankful I'm feeling better now, even if I'm not 100% yet.

Oh my, do you still get a pedicure from this woman, or what? Ive never had one, but I'm cringing reading about what happened to you.

I've tried to use willpower in the past to not throw up, though it almost always failed. However, with the fainting I didn't even know what to expect as it's never happened before (at least, not that I can remember) so I couldn't even try, even if I had wanted to. But with being as weak as I was I don't think it would have worked anyway.

I wont be able to control, if i were to throw up too.. hehe^_^ BUt there are always symptons to look out for just before one faints.. Such as giddiness, or a sudden feel of weakness and blurred vision.. ONce u experience any of that, stop whatever u are doing immediately and sit down, that will prevent u from fainting as your body is now in relaxed mode..

I'll have to remember that in case it ever happens again. Thanks kun!
