How often do you have your hair cut? |
|
I'm just thinking about booking my annual hair-cut! In case you are wondering - yes my hair does look a mess, but I have had so much trouble over the years with finding a hairdresser who can cut my hair the way that I like it. I really resent having to pay a lot of money for a hair-cut I don't like. My partner does trim my hair for me now and again, but I have layers now so that is a bit tricky. How about you, do you have your hair cut regularly?

71. goodnightmoon (1975) | 7 months ago | ...professional hair-cut? It's been a year since I went to a salon. I tend to trim my own hair - very easy with the bangs and front layers but not too tricky with the back. My hair is a little past my shoulders and I tend to like it about that length. It's slightly curly (more "wavy") too so any imperfections tend to hide well.
It's not difficult for people to cut my hair the way I like; I only get (long) layers. I'm more against pay $20+ (plus tip) for a 5 minute hair cut. I really don't much care to try and impress with my hair, so I'm happy with my own cutting... which I do about once every month or two.

72. libby2009 (1568) | 7 months ago | I have my hair cut once a year too but just like you I know that our hair can be damaged in that amount of time. I am due for getting a cut but now I'm short on money. I always have to pay roughly $60 - $80 every time because my stylist is a professional stylist at a major salon. I won't settle for less. No one else can get it done right.

katsalot1 (875) | 7 months ago | From my experience (not that it is very much) it doesn't seem to matter how much you pay or how good the salon is. It seems as though hairdressers each have their own specialities, some are good with wavy hair, some with straight hair, some with particular styles etc. and I've found it hard to find one that cuts my hair how I like it. As I said at the start, when I have found someone, they've moved on by the time I go again!

libby2009 (1568) | 7 months ago | I hear you. Actually, my stylist did move from one location to another but guess what?
I called her regular salon to get an appointment and they told me she wasn't there anymore. They said that she has gone to another location that the owner has and gave me that number. I went to the new location and made the appointment. Before I left, I asked her if she keeps in contact with her customers and she said yes!
The next time you find a good stylist make it a point to tell her that you want to be on her list of clientele. Turns out that stylists don't like to lose their people. They send out reminders in the mail when it's time to come in and they can let you know in advance when there is a sale.
Did you know that? Mine does this for me.
Happy myLotting.

75. fifileigh (2929) | 7 months ago | i like having a haircut once a season. i usually have a magazine photo of the look i want so that i can show them what look i want. it is easier to show them by photo rather than trying to explain a hair style. find those hair style magazine at grocery stores or book store, and browse thru them for the look u like. i usually go to a salon if i want a styled haircut because they r more experienced. if i want a simple trim or basic haircut, i go to the smaller ones like supercuts, haircut store, fantastic sams, etc. right now, my hair is a grown out pixie. it is too short to do anything to it. so i am growing it out longer because i get it cut into a hairstyle. i am considering bob or pageboy, but not really sure yet.

77. gemini_rose (10121) | 7 months ago | I have my hair cut about once every 6 - 8 weeks, I used to do it myself and not very regularly and it became really unhealthy. I find that it is in a lot better condition now that I am having a cut on a regular basis.

katsalot1 (875) | 7 months ago | Trimming a little bit regularly does seem to help it in better condition, I don't know why though.

78. whyaskq (5053) | 7 months ago | I used to have a hair cut every month. Now I try to keep long hair so that I can reduce the number of trips to the hairdresser. A trip saved is money saved. LOL.

79. trixyteddy (967) | 7 months ago | I cut my hair when I feel its needs a trim. I'm not a person to bother much on hair-do, as long as it is neat. If a friend can cut it neat for me, then go ahead.

80. nrn2003 (425) | 7 months ago | I do not cut my hair too often at all. But now my sister is a hairdresser so I am goign to start doing it and keeping up with it more often. That way I will have healthier hair. My hair gets a lot of split and dead ends because I straighten or curl it on a daily basis.
