A Sunday Visit  

What a great gift! Yes I do this as well- I like to share my green thumb with friends & family!

As a matter of fact no I don't have a green thumb. I buy the plants for my roommate and he plants the garden as I don't care to as much. Went to the farmers market this Sunday and got some plants and seen people that I used to work with. They told me that I mite get called back to work. I'm glad you had a good day. back to work on here have been off. So have to get back to work. LOL. Your friend onlydia

I enjoy gardening, so help my friend with hers, but it's getting increasingly more difficult for me with my arthritis and DDD. Nothing hurts when I'm doing the work, but as soon as I stop... I'm generally laid up the next day.

Hi Grandpa B,Back home, I never tried to plant my own, I always help Mom but was not in love on it before..LOL! I always complain when we will work in the farm and yard since I am very allergy to some of the grasses..
Anyway, when I arrived here, I was amazed that I can grow plants and flowers too and I am loving it, I am very thankful to my Mom who exposed me on this fun activity when I was young...
I have not tried doing it for relatives, but that is a very great idea!

Those strawberry plants looks really nice, but I don't have any in my garden as I haven't done anything for a while, the weather here has been very bad, what with rain and gale force winds I haven't even been in my garden but my yellow roses are in full bloom and so many buds on them. I haven't got green fingers like yours but my mother used and she was a great gardener.

Thats very nice of you to share your green thumb with others. I have always had a garden since I was a kid. My mom was always so patient with me tearing up her yard. The last few years my son has takin over te gardening duties, he is in competition with te neighbor guys. they have gardens too. tis year my son out did himself, the garden looks really nice. He has boards layed out to walk on, he also has straw put down to keep the weeds down. Its fenced off to keep the dog out, plus the fencing helps with some of the vegies, like cucs and green beans. Good luck with your garden this year.

years ago, when i was single, still living at home and both my parents were alive. it was a standing joke in our house, that if mum went shopping, she always came back with a plant. well shes long gone now, but i carry the tradition on. i love my plants and have over 50 containers with assorted plants, as well as flower beds in the front garden and back garden. i have got strawberries, the original plants go back about 8 years, but they just keep giving out runners. i used to do gardening for my friends, but unfortunately since i work full time, i only have time for my own. but i swap cuttings of plants, with work friends and do cuttings for friends out side of work. i would rather be working in the garden than working in an office, but wouldnt we all.
