2. egdcltd (1019) | 6 months ago | I probably clean mine more than I used to, even though my hard drive is vastly bigger than the one on my previous computer. Usually every 2-4 weeks. Not cleaning it clogs up you computer with useless junk that can slow it done. I remember running CCleaner after about a month and removing about 2GB of files.

3. vekstr (139) | 6 months ago | I try to clean it an keep as organized as I might. I clean and organize a couple of time of the month. It can start when I notice I have alot of crap on my desktop so I start cleaning and then it goes from there. Also I use a program called TuneUp Utilities, it's great! It fixes registry problems, hard drive errors, recommend settings optimized for your computer, tells you what programs are unnecessary and that you don't use anymore and removes temporary, crap and unnecessary files. Helps your computer perform much better and also relief alot of hard drive space.
But it feels like a f-ing mess anyway.

| 4. knightku (52) | 6 months ago | I usually don't clean my computer at all. I don't download and delete stuff. Typically people say to use only 50% of your hard drive. Store extra stuff on an external.

5. phyrre (710) | 6 months ago | I'm not sure. The more people I talk to, the less people seem to actually know how to do this. I do it about once every two weeks because I figure my computer has lots of memory, it gets used almost 24/7, and we're busy often enough where it's just a pain to do it more regularly if it isn't really necessary.:)

| 6. chikadorae (7) | 6 months ago | I think it depends on the user. I have 2 hard drives on my computer but I see to it that I clean them up at least once a month. I just don't want to reach the point of wasting several hours in front of my computer checking which files can be deleted and which files cannot.
