Did you enjoy your Memorial Day weekend?  

I had a pretty good weekend, I went to maine this weekend wich I havnt gone to all year not since last summer so it was pretty fun then on memorial day I went to the drive in to see two good movies wich was angels and demons and the new star trek movie wich I thought were two awsome movies.

My weekend was pretty good. Went to a friends house for BBQ on Saturday. Sunday was a blurr. And yesterday did a bit of shopping for household items at Dollar General. We watched a few movies. In general just spent time together as a family. Nothing big.

Our weekend went pretty good. My husband had Saturday, Sunday and Monday off which was nice. Saturday we did some yard sales. I was excited. We got a jeep 3 wheel stroller for $25. Then one yard sale I got my oldest her whole summer wardrobe lol. I got 11 tank tops and 7 pairs of shorts for $2.85! I was excited. sunday we did some yard work and dug out the stump of a tree we cut down. We are slowing building a nice play area for the kids. Monday we cleaned up for a picnic. The kids all got a cold from their cousin so they were recouping while we cleaned. Then my parents and my sister came over. and my in laws showed up unannounced too and they stayed to eat with us. It started raining so we had to take our picnic inside but it wasn't that bad.

The kids and I went to a little carnival they had behind the local mall the other night. They had a blast. Lily was even tall enough to ride some of the rides. They were bummed when we had to leave though. I was going to cook out yesterday, but it would not stop raining. We cooked the hot dogs and brats inside instead. It was nothing to exciting, but it was nice.

I spent part of the time up at the camper and we had a ton of company.....for supper on Sunday night and all day on Monday until we headed home....we did have our first campfire......and we also had grilled out brats etc....so it was fun.

We have something similar which roughly translates to "Day of Heroes". I don't really remember what day it is on because the government keeps changing the name as well as the date. I guess I shouldn't mind because I am neither a soldier nor a hero although I did fancy myself as one when I was younger. Cheers!!

Yes I did. I took my kids to the lake. They had never been before. We cooked out, and my daughter played in the lake in her clothes, and loved it. My son was afraid of the water, but he had a great time playing in the sand!
