As you all know my husband had a stroke so we are getting the house fixed. The internet was off for a while because my husband said I was on it much too long, and I thought he had canceled it, but the wire got loose. Now that is settled, I can write a little bit and clar out my email. They have the front cleared for the ramp, and they are putting the final coat on the bathroom before installing the tiles.
We have a double closet from the computer room to the bedroom, so don't be surprised that I go in one night and wind up in Narnia
. We have the ensuite all ready made and all that is needed are the fixtures. So we will be back in one week assuming nothing goes wrong.

Hi Suspenseful, At least you are back online now, sounds like the house is really making progress and look forward to hearing from you to say you are back in and to read an extension to the Chroniles of Naria LOL. All sounds wonderful and hopefully you will both be really pleased with the new layout as I know you really wanted to stay put and not move into one of those warden assisted complexes that your husband wanted to do. Huggles. Ellie :D

I am thinking of putting a sign on the closet to the computer, with the words, Entrance to Narnia.

That sounds like a wonderful arrangement!! I love the idea of a double closet, so convenient. I know you'll be glad to get back into your own home and your own bed with all your familiar things. And now you and your husband can go out together for a walk/push around the block when the weather is nice. I'm so glad the quality of life if going to improve for you both!
Do you spend a lot of time on the internet or writing your novel? Maybe a little more husband time would improve his attitude, although men are notorious for being jealous of how we spend our time. My grandpa, before they even had electricity or running water inside the house, used to complain to my grandma that she spent too much time reading.
(This, after a day of cleaning and taking care of kids, working in the fields with him, cooking everyone's meals, feeding the livestock and helping the two kids with their homework!)

I do not spend that much time writing my novel or on the internet, but I think it is that my husband wants me to be with him all the time and he thinks that the internet is a time waster. He does not understand that I need to use the computer to write. And he does not understand that I also use it to make a little extra money and that I do not want to depend on the government to pay for things, for instance, for the laptop computer I want to buy.
It sounds that your grandpa is like my husband.

We will be here for a couple of days since we had a rain storm and that slowed things down a bit.

The trouble is at the motel, my husband still expects me to do the housework there. I would not be surprised if he told me to pick up the vacuum and bring it to the motel room.
