hello mylotters... i'm just curious on how you people manage excess hair or unwanted hair? like me, i plucked my eyebrows and underarms sometimes, shaved. some says that plucking is not advisable for its risky. is it true that plucking may cause something risky to health? how about you? what do you do with unwanted hair...do you take it off or just let it there? and what do you think is the best way to manage it? thanks and have a nice day! :-)

For my eyebrows i get them waxed but for everything else i shave. Its supposed to last longer if you wax but i just cant bear the pain of it. Its bad enough getting my eyebrows done!!

Plait it all so that you can use it to be rescued from a fairy-tale castle... think how frustrating it would be to get locked up by a wicked goblin just after you have had a wax... 'damn!' you would be saying to youself...'if only I had gone 'au naturel' I would have enough hair to reach down six flights of steps by now...

I only pluck and shave. I'm not willing to fight with waxing right now even though I've thought about it on several occasions. I think it would hurt too much to wax. Not to mention, it's kind of expensive.

I shave all my unwanted hair. I used to pluck my brows but then one day I was in a hurry and I just shaved the parts I wanted off and then I just kept doing it and it works for me. I get really red when I plucked them and then people could tell I plucked. I also shave my legs underarms and bikini line too. Fastest way to get it done so that is why. I don`t mind a man with hair so I wouldn`t want him to shave.

Depends on the hair, i usually shave it in the underarms. I let to grow other hairs in my body, and i already embrace myself having fine hair. It is just fine for me because it is not a curly hair like hair in the legs, arms, and fine hair in the stomach.

I think waxing really is the way to go. I mean yes, you can get in grown hairs but its not as regularly as I got them from shaving. Of course, depending on how hairy you are (I am a hairy girl) waxing in some area's just isn't logical. You have to wait for the hair to be long enough that the wax can get a good grip on it, so at least 1/8th of an inch and sometimes longer depending on how fine the hair is, and believe me, if you have a hairy chin you don't want those suckers getting that long! You might as well grow a goatee and buy a pair of boots! Anyway, thats my say. So blah.

It all depends on where are those unwanted hairs.. lol =D SO far, i have left most areas untouched except for my facial hair.. I do have quite some facial hair whereby i need to shave them almost everyday or so.. hehe ^_^ BUT there are times, i choose to pluck with with my fingers instead.. haha =D Though it's painful for the very first time, but after which, pain is not a barrier anymore.. hehe ^_^ PLucking is not advisable because when those hair regrows, it will be much thicker than before.. That's why, shaving is better.. BUt then again, shaving does not remove the root and thus i do prefer plucking occasionally.. lol =D

I shape my eyebrows by plucking. As for other unwanted hair, I shave. I don't know if plucking poses some health risks, but I haven't encountered anything so far.

Plucking, shaving or waxing can sometimes irritate the skin (you may notice some reddening at the site). I've seen laser treatments as the best option to remove unwanted hair. It has long-term effect and you may not have to expose your skin to mild trauma due to plucking. Yet, it is very important to check on the ingredients of your roll-ons or underarm products also... Consult your Dermatologist. About the eyebrows, a beauty expert suggest that you should avoid one-lined eyebrow because it will make you look older and suggests a negative personality. You may not pluck a lot of it.

I puck, shave and bleach excess hair! My upper lip hair I bleach. If I don't I look like I have a mustache! Like most women I pluck my eyebrows. I get alot of blck chin hairs which I also pluck. I have dark excess hair that grows on the sides of my face.I shave it off when it gets bad! When it comes to armpit hair and my legs,I shave! Usually I do the razor and leg shaver cream on them. At least once a week I shave the armpit hair and the legs!

For my eyebrows I pluck them. I find it a lot easier than waxing because waxing can cause so many issues with causing a ton of redness and then if you accidentally mess up - its hell and most of the time they have to pluck anyways to help clean it up. I feel like I have more control by plucking. Now with everything else I shave. With the hair removal creams, the last time I tried I broke out really bad from it so I just don't mess around with them and the last wax I used didn't really work either and it was so messy. So shaving it just the easiest thing to use, as long as you have shaving cream and moisturizer its fine.

I just tried a hair removing cream last night and I can say it's effective. I've made a discussion about it recently here:
Finally! I received my order online. Few weeks back, I ordered FreshDepil cream online and guys, I tell you it's effective. Very easy to use and it's not...

I shave and sometimes pluck and occasionally use hair removal creams typically the sensitive skin formulas, I dont use wax I tried hot wax once but it just irritated my skin so I never used it agin, but I wish there was a gentler safer way to remove unwanted hair.

I get my eyebrows plucked and the other areas(as in hands, legs and underarms)waxed.I find waxing very comfortable as the hair takes quite some time to grow, which is a month in my case. And when you get it done my a professional it does not even cause any severe damage.

i pluck my eyebrows, for me it's easier than shaving and painless than waxing. once i tried threading at a salon, it's more painful than waxing. with my underarms i shave. with my legs i always use waxing cream, base on my experience it's almost the same with the one's done at salons, as far as the hair growth is concerned. now, there are scientific ways to lessen or totally removed unwanted hair (of course eyebrows not included) but are way too expensive, but worry free for hairy people like me.
