I never married, and I said I wasn't at 4. I didn't want kids and also said so at 4. I guess I'm kind of surprised I turned into a crazy cat lady, but not much...

I too have 5 kids, but they're all still young. My oldest is 12. I've always been amazed about it. I had my first at 17, and I constantly said to myself "I never pictured myself having a child at this age, I thought I'd be grown and married" Then I had twins, and I said I'd never pictured myself having twins, or even having 3 kids...

If I saw myself now when I was 8 or so, I would be shocked. While I'm proud of most of the things I've done, I don't particularly like how I got here since I was pretty wild in my 20's. I'm proud of my two sons but regret my marriage failed because of my ignorance. When I was little, I would never have believed that I would be divorced and it's a source of sadness and some shame for me. Still, I've overcome a lot of crap and I've done the best I could with what I had so I have some pride in my accomplishments.

Hi bunnybon, Like you I often think about such things and of course it is very true that we still want the best for our children. I am 69 and often wonder where the time has gone, it just goes so fast. As a child we don't understand what it means to be grown up and times seems to go so slow then. It is hard for us to imagine that we will grow up and have children and grandchildren of our own, but it happens for most people. Soon we will be gone from here and our children and grandchildren will take our place as the grandparents. No doubt, they will think then as we do now. Blessings.

I always thought I would have only one child when I got older and that's exactly what I accomplished. She's now 18 years old (almost 19) and is getting ready to get her license (She has the permit.) because she has registered a 1991 Lexus in her name. She'll be going to college soon. She applied for financial aid and I hope she gets it.

That when you are still a child you can not make prediction of the future. That you turned a great grand mother is a kinda privilege but you had not though thi sway that you would be one.

I had no notion that I would be a father of a son and would be doing something that was beyond imagination then. Time takes its portion and we are left with wonder sometime.

Hello and congratulations on living to be a ripe young age of 61. It's so amazing that you were praying and meditating this morning because that caught my attention. I was doing the same thing. I"m amazed sometimes when I look at my two children and I think that I must have done something right in my life even though I have made a few mistakes. I'm just hoping that my children will not make the same mistakes that I've made. When I think about my life I"m amazed that I'm still married, although this is my second marriage and the first one didn't work. Even this second one has been on the rocks and many times had been close to tipping over but for some reason we've managed to keep things afloat for almost 21 years now. This is what amazes me because I never would have thought that I could stay with one person for so long. Have a nice day and thanks for sharing. Pretty much everything.
I was sure I would always live close to my grandmother and that did not happen, I also have a daughter and for some reason I did not picture myself with kids.
My daughter is a blessing in my life and so are my friends.
I am amazed that I am living apart from my family and that my grandmother and mother both are in heaven now.
Life is a surprise at times.

Hey bunny! I didn't know that you had that many kids and grands!
You really are a very lucky woman! I am quite envious! I have
no children. When I was a child I thought that I would live
the American dream, as you apparently have, with the kids
and grands, but things didn't work out that way for me and
honestly I know that it is for the best! I guess I would have
liked to have had kids at one point and time and would now
like to have some grands, but things happen for a reason!
And as I say and feel that I am glad that my bloodline will
stop with me for many reasons. I don't have regrets for doing
the things that I did. I did what was right for me. I had a
tough childhood and a tough adulthood and I am first getting
my life straightened out now at the age of 56! At least I am
finally seeing the light!
