Do you go to bingo?

I was in a terrible mood yesterday for seemingly no reason at all, probably just under too much stress. My husband finally convinces me I need to get out, I haven't gotten out without my family in months!
Well, we already overdrew our bank account from buying my son some shoes, so hubby talks me into taking out a bit more and going to bingo. So my mom and I went. I hadn't been in years! All of the payouts were at least $100 and there was a 50/50 which was a $300 prize, and a 70/30 with an $800 prize.
The first time I'd gone to bingo years ago I ended up winning $600 in one night!
I was really hoping I'd win at least enough to pay back the bank account and not overdraw, but I didn't win anything. Figures, right, when you need the money you don't get it. Oh well. It was nice to get out for awhile, and since the withdraw and the shoes hit the bank account before the power bill... I'll only get 1 overdraw fee, so going to bingo made it worthwhile!

That is one thing I have never done! I used to go with my nan as a child and I think it is just something that I associate with her and not something I have ever really fancied doing myself. Its a shame that you did not win though would have been lovely to see you do a discussion about a nice win! Its typical though like you say when you really need something to happen it never does, story of my life at the moment haha!!!

Nope, he told Gaz that he would either let him know by the end of today or in the morning. There is 20 minutes until the end of the working day! The stress is killing me, we are just heading towards dire straits and nothing seems to be going our way just now at all!

I know how you feel, I've been there a few times myself. I wish I knew what to tell you to make you feel better. Doesn't help that the kids will soon be out of school. Somehow the financial stress is easier to deal with when you know they'll be safe and secure in school all day.

The mood was probably caused by too much stress and I am glad that you got to go out. I'm sorryt that you diod not win a pile of money but was interested to see that you went with your Mom. I hope that this outing went well for you both. No, I haven't been to Bingo for years upon years and I am not lucky in lotto or anything like that

I'm still in that mood a bit... guess I'm just tired, both physically and emotionally. I think I needed a little more than just 1 night out.
I'm not lucky either, except for just once in awhile.

It's been a few weeks since I have gone. My friend is part of the ladies group at the firehall so she has to help out at bingo and stuff. So she goes and helps set up the food they sell then she comes out and plays bingo. Then she helps at intermission and I cover heard cards till she gets back from helping clean up. I wish I could go more often though but she only can make it once a month and sometimes even if she gets off work in time to make it she is too tired. It does feel great to get out of the house without the kids though. The first time I had really done it I went out to a movie with a friend. I felt totally energized. I try to do it more often now but it still only happens every few months.

I have never gone to bingo night anywhere. The only time I have ever played bingo was in school as a kid. I am glad you were able to get out of the house and have a little YOU time. Sometimes you really need to just get away from the stress. I am sorry you did not win anything though.

I think it's addictive. I told my mother no matter how broke we are, we're going to have to keep going back! $800 is a really good payout!

I like going to bingo it is very addictive and fun. I enjoy going there to have fun and relax and just try to get lucky LOL.

To be honest i haven't tried playing Bingo like you played. Even the same bingo that neighbor played just to kill time but i'm always looking forward to try it. My best friend and i wanted to try it for fun and to experience but so far we haven't try it yet. Every time we went on the mall and we passed by to the Bingo hall, we always look to each other and it seem we already knew what we already thinking but i don't know we still ending up not getting in. So we just passed by and said next time.

I don't now, though I did a few times with my mom years ago. She couldn't wait for me to turn 18 so I could go with her. LOL The first time I went I won $250. I was so excited, I just wanted to go home after that. But as all the cards were already paid for the night so I had to stick it out a few more hours. UGH! LOL The second time my husband went with us. None of us won anything that night. And the last time I went with my mom I won on the final game of the night, a blackout. However there were a few other winners as well, so I had to split the prize...a whooping 43 dollars. But hey, it was better than not winning anything at all, right?

the last time i went to bingo is last year. but im not won any price. well at least i have a good time whenever i play bingo with my family. its really intersting play. hmmmm. im thinking of that to play bingo this weekend.

I haven't been to Bingo in several years. My mom goes all the time. When I was younger I went with her a few times and it was fun. I may have to tag along again for some stress free fun! Sorry you didn't win anything. Who knows....maybe next time!

I joined a few bingo websites last year, but i never won anything. I suppose these websites just used us to play there and never return their profit. I was surprised to read you got $600 from bingo game. Really amazing.
Now i totally give up bingo game, sometimes i buy lotto on internet.Wish i can earn some to cover my cost or my invest i already input.

I don't go to Bingo at all! I have helped at it as a volunteer for my church, however, what I have seen there, turns me off from ever wanting to play. The elderly can be very rude there, and you never want to take the seat that they have been sitting in for years. In our church hall, they actually leave a seat cushion on their chairs from the week before in order to save it for the following week. This causes a problem when we have another function in the hall, because we have to move all the chairs around, and they ultimately loose their pillow...lol. I also see all their lucky trinkets that they put around their area...EWW! I'm not into that thing! I guess I am not into any kind of gambling...mostly because I know I'm going to lose, and I don't have the money to waste.

I don't let a few sour grapes turn me off from doing something that is fun and enjoyable. I rarely win too, but it's still fun and I still want to go next week.

It is ok if you did not win. You were stressful and you needed some fresh air and joining bingo would help you get focused again and have a better perspective in life. I do join bingo here, and it is a tv program. I haven't won yet but I was enjoying myself everytime I play. Have a nice day.
