Had this ever happened to you? You park your car in the airport parking lot. After while, you come back to pick up the car. You lost your way to get to the car. You forget where the exact location, and you just keep on looking. For while, you eventually find your car was parking close to the corner on the other side. Had this ever happened to you?

Hi clorissa, I lost my car once but it wasn't in a car park. A friend and I had driven down to a Greek town on one of the festival days and parked alongside the sea unaware that a major procession would later pass that way. When we returned the car wasn't there and we thought perhaps we were mistaken and had parked further along than we thought and kept walking. We finally came across the car with a nice note on from the police saying that they had moved the car as on that day it shouldn't have been left there beyond a certain time because of the procession. I expected a fine or something and we stopped in at the police station but it had been no problem, they had just somehow managed to move it along out of the way and they were very friendly about it.

Some years ago I went to language school in Italy and one day a friend and I decided to go to the beach. When we got there we parked the car and found a nice place to sit. We studied, chatted etc and after a while we wanted to go back home. But we couldn't find the car! There were many different parking lots and we had forgotten to notice the name of the place where we parked the car. At first we were sure that we were going to find the car, so we just kept looking. After a couple of hours we still didn't manage to find it, and we asked a men for help. He agreed to help us, and we drove around in his car looking for our car. We went through all the parking lots, but we didn't find the car. We were about give up, but all of a sudden we found the car. We felt pretty stupid and I still don't understand why we didn't see the car earlier, because we had been at the right parking lot without seeing the car! We spent 3(!) hours on finding the car and everyone laughed at us when we got back

Well, not for an hour but yes, I have misplaced my car before. Now whenever I go anywhere I memorize a point on the building or something to remember where i'm parked. I had a friend that did this recently....called her car in as stolen. She was drunk and when the cops found it, they told her to walk home and get it in the morning. Did she? Nope...she got in it and drove and got popped for DWI.

I have not lost my car but I lost a rental car in a parking lot because I forgot what it looked like. The only thing I could remember about it was that it was red and it was somewhere under one of the lights so I walked around the parking lit pressing the button on the keyring, waiting to hear the beep.

I have not lost my car, however I have lost my keys. I was getting ready for work and rushing because I was running late. The next thing you know I have no keys. I started trying to back track to find them and couldn't. I called and let the Sgt know that as soon as I found my keys I would be there. After searching for close to an hour, I got thirsty. When I opened the refrigerator there they were!!!

HA! Yes, twice this has happened to me...I thought I was losing my mind. Once in the shopping mall - it was just about closing time, and most of the cars were already gone; I went out one of the doors, looked all over for my car in this huge parking lot...my car was nowhere. I actually thought someone stole it, and was ready to call the police. Then as a last resort, I decided to look on the other side of the building, and lo and behold there it was! The second time this happened was the night I went grocery shopping this past winter. Coming out of the store with this full grocery cart, I walked down this one aisle of cars where I swore my car was parked, but it wasn't there...so I pushed my cart thru ice and slush to the other aisle, and it still wasn't there. I went back and forth from one aisle to another in this one area of the parking lot, for at least 15 minutes, pushing this darn cat thru ice, snow, and slush, and could not, for the life of me, find that darn car. People were laughing at me, because they knew I was totally lost. Finally, I took a chance and tried another area of the parking lot, swearing up and down that I did not park my car that far from the store, but to my surprise, there it was...my beautiful looking car with all it's scratches and dirt just waiting for me to discover it! HA! I really think I'm loosing it.
