Do you listen to music that is sang in a foreign language? |
|
Well i do.
I don't understand korean nor japanese. But i love listening to them. Those ballads can be real soothing.
And at times, there are songs that have the same melody as some mandarin song just that the words are in different languages. And it's real cool to listen to them.
What about you?
Do you listen to songs sung in a foreign language?
Why do you listen to them?

My favorites were from Korean songs some are featured in korean novela where it was aired here in the Philippines. I even sing along with the song even if i dont get the right lyics hahah. Another favorite of mine were french songs, same with korean songs i dont understand the lyrics but still the song was good to my ear. I know french song because my hubby was working in european country which they speak french.

4. andresimp (336) | 7 months ago | hi regal. if the music is good, i dont mind listening to any songs. it should be catchy and the singer should have lots of modulations in her/his voice. so that i can learn some techniques of singing.

regal_aeros (1866) | 7 months ago | i must say some koreans are very good in their techniques. They go through real rigorous trainings.

7. baldypriest (284) | 7 months ago | I think my current playlist is 3/4 foreign language music. A brief list of the languages would be: Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), several types of Gaelic, Cymraeg, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, German, Russian, French, Finnish, etc. I don't understand all of the languages, but the music is so beautiful. I can understand Japanese, a little Mandarin Chinese, German, and French, so that helps. I just think it's fun hearing music in languages aside from English, from cultures outside of my own.

The reason are..well..I am listeneing to Japanese music already for ages because I used to grow with Animes even when I didn't know yet that they are animes. And my brother always bought anime vhs with german subs. so I naturally started listening to them. I really like the japanese language anyway and the japanese culture and blahblah. I think you too..when I see your icon..haha.

| 9. NefariousFox (79) | 7 months ago | I like some songs in french, like -M-, and Russian. German is my most proficient second language, so I like some German songs. I think that Portuguese is the best language for singing. Danish hip-hop is the funniest stuff on earth.
