Back in January we were contacted by an agency that would redo our bathroom for my son. They will come in and install a roll in shower for my son. It is finally going to be started tomorrow. I am really excited. It will be so nice to be able to wheel his chair right up to the shower. I hope it goes well. We will be in and out alot. They are planning on being done by Thursday. I am so happy!! Have you waited a long time for something good and it finally happened?

That's wonderful! Things are so difficult for those in wheelchairs, it would be nice if everything was wheelchair accessible in all new houses as a standard practice.
It's exciting to get a "new" bathroom. I redid mine about a year and a half ago since my mom usually spends summers here and was having trouble stepping into the ancient bathtub to take a shower. Out went the tub (
) and in went a beautiful shower with grab rails and a built-in seat!
I miss my tub but I didn't use it that much anyway. I think I just miss it because I no longer have it!
I know your son will really enjoy the new ease of using the shower and I'm very happy for you!

That's wonderful! It's sure to be a big help to you and make a big difference. One of my relatives had one of those put in for my Aunt. Wow, it was such a blessing to just wheel her in there. Glad to hear that it won't take but a few days to get done. Happy for you!! To answer the question...yes, I've waited a long time for something good to happen, and when it finally arrives, it's a great feeling :-)

I am so happy for you, I wish I had one of those baths for the disabled, but I don't have my own home so that will never happen. I always have to wait for everything I want, nothing comes easy for me.

Congratulations. That will be very nice! Yes, I wanted nook furniture to put in a special place in a home that was 4 homes ago, lol, and now finally I am resolved to put some of that in the place I'll be staying next. But I may have to wait a few months to find what I want at an affordable price and in the color and shape I want. I'd rather go without than have something that isn't just right.

This is Great News... I am sure it is done by now, and has probably been a Great blessing for you as well. Lately it seems like everything we have been doing is a sit and wait. With having Sold our Condo and in the process of getting ready to buy a New house it seems like there is always a ton of paperwork, etc. to sign and a lot of things to do so it is a Sit and wait, but know that in time we can soon look back and know it was worth it all as well.

I can't remember having to wait a long time for something good to happen...I'm sure there were times though. You won't know yourselves when it happens...pretty soon, it will be like it was always there....congratulations on your good fortune.

That's awesome!! About time!! lol I thought it was done already but apparently not. I hope they don't make too much of a mess but in the long run, it'll be much easier for you two to bathe your son!!
Yes, we've waited over two years for hubby to be approved for disability with the military and he finally received it a few months ago. He got all of his back pay and now we're on a better road in life. Whew!

Hi Thoroughrob! It's so nice to hear from you! How is your
son doing? I hope he is doing well! That is so wonderful to
hear about the bathroom redo! I am so happy for your family!
I love to watch those things on the tv where they redo the
rooms for whatever reason and I can't think of a better reason
then to make it easier for your family, especially your sweet
son! I know that it will go well and you will be so pleased
when it's all finished! Please let us know how it turns out!
