I'm Sorry, I'm Hurt, I'm an Idiot!

LOL--We're both sort of the walking wounded here...with all the dampness and rain we've been having here it's been doing a real number on my joints and often painful for me to walk..crap, feel like 150 years old...then I too still have my strained wrist problem (right hand)--so yes a LOT of fun trying to type...NOT
Did anyone try to help you up from your fall?
Many years ago, I too, took a really bad tumble...right in the middle of the street---the light was changing and I had visions of cars running over me...NO ONE HELPED me get up and there was some putz looking directly at me on the street but did he offer to help me...nooooooo--I finally managed to get up before any cars DID come crashing into me

Faith, I am the same age as you, and I'm beginning to wonder if stupid falls are just a part of our age. I fell twice this last fall, doing the same dumb thing twice. Luckily, it was in my own home so I didn't have a million people watching me; but that doesn't make it any less dumb.

I have a baby gate up to keep the dogs off the carpet (one thinks it is grass to pee and poo on). Well, I'm too lazy to open the gate a thousand times a day, so I step over it. Once my shoelace caught on it and BANG! I fell flat on my entire front side.

Another time, I was actually opening the dang thing like I should, and I don't know exactly what happened, but it sort of hung up somehow, and I was walking and when it got stuck, BOOM! - my boob was scraped up pretty badly by the gate and I was hung up on it on a rib -- and I was naked after my bath! My eight-year-old got a nice back view of me stuck on there and had to peel me off the gate! Ha, ha!

Anyway, don't respond. Rest your wrist and knees and such.

I don't think your an Idiot. I hope you get better soon.. We all fall every once and a while..Hey may be this will cheer you up I fall, a good fall at least once a week.. Oh! So sorry to hear about your injury.
Not stupid. Stuff like that happens to everyone.

Hubby took a bad fall about a year ago off the edge
of the sidewalk and hasn't been the same ever since.

We thought it was just a simple fall but I think he broke
a small bone in his foot and it was never diagnosed.

Just one of those things.

You feel fine after a few days but then the real
symptoms set in.

Oh, it sucks to fall!!! I fell once, and cracked my tailbone. My husband fell on Christmas eve, and broke his wrist and a few ribs, and Vice Vukov, my favourite Croatian singer, fell down the steps of the Croatian parliament in 2005, and hit his head, hard enough to put him in a perminent vegetative state for the rest of his life (he died in September 2008. So no matter how you fall, IT SUCKS to fall, and it's a shame you did. I can understand it must be painful. After 15 years, my tailbone STILL hurts!

I am sorry to learn that u hurt yourself .I never laugh at any person when one is hurt by falling or hitting! I pray that u heal fast and be active.I am 60 years old but as young as I feel! I am a housewife not working,I want to do some job but I fear I can not cope with it,so I am here in mylot! I have to look after my house when all are going out to work .If I go for a work there will be a mess of everything!
