One night without AC!

Oh that is pretty messy, i can imagine that! How's the weather there? Well, i would just suggest that you take your shower then turn on your industrial fan to the maximum level so that you can still feel cold

Its hard to sleep when your hot..If I am hot i can never get to sleep...Don't feel bad I love my Ac also and without it am soooo miserable...You get use to certain things in life..

Right now we are at my own room when i was young here at my parents house and i'm glad that we are spending a week here because we have aircondition here. I miss this room. Unlike at our own house, we don't have aircondition and my baby is sweating while sleeping. My baby is more comfortable here when asleep.

i think it isn't necessary when you don't have, but when we have we just can't do without it. not only ac but for other things like, internet, cars.etc.

that is quite terrific, i just imagine coming from a cold weather and suddenly you meet yourself in a warm hot weather, you can only hope that a functional AC is available, maybe you should have a recharblke fanning system with you incase there is no electricity, you can just use that to get some refreshing air

In summer season i cant tolerate the heat and i cant sleep without AC but in other months i can manage without AC.

I don't have an AC. I really couldn't afford the electricity it takes to keep one running anyway. I think your body adjusts to the temps. Out of the year there are maybe 3 or 4 days that are so intense that it is almost unbearable but for the most part we are used to the heat. I don't have AC in my car either. I find that if I go into a place that does have it, it may feel good but it makes the heat feel even worse when I have to leave.

Now a days its very hot and humid in our country and we cannot imagine a single night without AC. I think we could live without it but we made it our habit and now we are addicted to it. Yes you are right we should have to think about those 1000s of people who did'nt even afford a house or a place to spend night. We always thanks God for everything He has given to us.

I almost had to go without m ac last night, but thankfully I was able to get the fuses Ineed to fix it. My husband blew a fuse that went to our refridgerator latre yesterday evening. He took another fuse from a different spot to replace it, not knowing that he took the fuse that ran the fridge! By the time we realized it, it was pretty late and we didn't know if the local Walmart would carry them. He made the call and they had them. I made the run to get them and all was well. Here, it has been quite hot and humid and even though I could have probably slept without the ac, I know that my husband would have been completely miserable.

I just checked to see where you are, so it must get hot in India? I'm in California so I know what you mean about the AC. However, it does usually cool down here after it gets dark, at least enough to open the doors and turn OFF the AC, so as long as you have AC during the day to keep the house from burning up, it's not hot at night.

We did have an incident a few years ago where the AC broke, and that was tough. One thing that works pretty well is taking a cold shower (or jumping in the pool) and getting a towel wet and wringing it out... then wrapping yourself in the towel and turning a portable fan to blow on you. Of course this only works if you're going to be sitting still and you're not expecting company.
