I almost died

That was really scary. But anytime, we can die even if we are in the safest place we thought. And I am happy that you are well and you can still participate in here. I pray that you'll recover as soon as you can and be in good health, including your newborn baby. I know that looking at your baby will wipe away those tears in your eyes because the baby gives joy in the family!

What a terrible experience. Poor you. Do rest up for the next six weeks and take things as easy as you can. Do you have a partner, relatives or friends who can help with the baby?

You've just had a baby? Congratulations! I never even knew you were expecting! It sounds like it was a terrible experience for you there, but all's well that ends well and I'm glad to hear that you're back home. I have thought I was going to die before, but it was because of a different situation entirely. I slipped down a steep mountainside once and came very close to falling over the edge into a ravine. I practically aged 50 years in a split second!

Congratulations on having a beautiful little girl, Maxi! I'm glad you're safely home to look after her now. I once had a really bad reaction to a blood transfusion and had to be ambulanced from our local hospital to Sydney. Silly me, I didn't think to push the buzzer, but just lay there feeling terrible and shaking and convulsing. When the nurse finally came in and noticed, it was panic stations! Now I can't donate blood, as I have alien antibodies in it.

its good that you are home though, when my mum had me she had to have an emergency cesarean and she nearly died as well as me. I was 2 months premature and that was 21 years ago which in those times they didn't have the best equipment to deal with premature babies i was in ICU in an incubator for 6 weeks and i only weighed 3lb and i was baptised in hospital because the doctors didn't think i would make it but here i am 21 years old never had a problem (touch wood)

Woah that's pretty intense. I'm thankful that you are okay! That's really a rough spot to be in!

Firstly congratulations on the birth of a little angel. Had you decided to have the baby at home only, of was it all of a sudden and could not got to the hospital. It must be awful losing so much blood. Im really glad you are well and taking it easy. Just be careful, for home deliveries can be dangerous. Here in India, we book the hospital bed in advance and go there around delivery time or earalier as the case may be. Its always better to have a delivery in the hospital for all the life saving equipments are ready and available. Good luck.

I am very sorry to hear this. My God!it is so shocked.but luckly the woorst thing hasn't happened. hope you can get back as soon as possible.

When I had my triplets I almost died as well. I lost too much blood as you did. They were able to get the bleeding to slow just in the nick of time. Two days after their birth I had three pints of blood, or how ever much is in a bag. I was in ICU for the first 24 hours, in fact for the first 6 hours they left me in the operating room as they were not sure if they would have to go back in or not (the bleeding had slowed and not fully stopped) I did not see my children till they were three days old. I ran a high fever, was in and out of being awake etc.
