I almost died |
|
On Saturday my dear little baby girl was born at home. Afterwards I lost two and a half liters of blood. I was taken to a city hospital in an ambulance. I had some really horrible treatment and so it was upsetting being there. I wanted to leave there as soon as I could so I did after two days move to my local hospital. I am back home now avoiding getting blood clots and fainting. I have to rest for the next six weeks.
Have you ever thought you might die? If you have had a baby did you have any severe complications?

| 22. eezaortile (37) | 6 months ago | Wow, that's really a memorable experience for you maximax8. There was a time when I did think I would die. About nine years ago I was admitted in the hospital for something that resembled dengue. It was the dengue season then, but since the doctor's couldn't really pinpoint exactly what I was sick of, they couldn't just park me together with the dengue fever patients. I just felt so weak and I would faint if I walked or stood up for longer than 5 minutes. I just felt like my heart was giving up on me. Odd enough, it turned out to be food poisoning (long term). Anyway, I hope your baby is doing well and I hope you are also feeling better.:)

I am so sorry to hear the dangerous situation you had in the course of delivering the dear little baby girl, but I am very glad for the arrival of the little baby girl of yours. Here in my country, women usually go to hospitals to give birth to their babies for safety nowadays. I wish you to have a good rest at home with someone taking good care of you and your baby. Take care, maximax.

25. pickoy (593) | 6 months ago | I never had any babies yet, but there's a time in my life when I thought I was going to die. I also had experienced blood transfusions and I'm so in patient to see it just dripping bit by bit coz I'm really anxious to go home, lol. That was during my heart surgery. I received atleast 20 bags in total... in just 2.5 months of being in the hospital... and my recovery lasted for a year until all the wounds in my chest have been healed, although I'm a bit limited when it comes to certain physical activities upto now, lol. But I'm so happy I survived, happily married with my husband... and my next ordeal, for sure is having a baby... but I'm more than willing to go through it.

| 27. JeninND (51) | 6 months ago | My goodness. First and foremost - I'm happy you are still alive! I am so sorry that happened to you. Was it a planned homebirth or accidental? I'm curious, since I'm a doula and have had 1 homebirth myself and assisted several. Did you have someone to assist you in the delivery? You poor thing - how scary. 2.5 liters is WAY too much blood to lose.
If you are still really emotionally wrecked by the experience after several weeks, please don't hesitate to see a therapist/counselor. Post-traumatic stress disorder can happen with things like this.
Congratulations on the birth of your baby, and I hope you are feeling 100% very soon.

28. bamrahkirti (1070) | 6 months ago | First of all let me congratulate me on having a little angel. It is very sorry to hear that you have lost lot of blood and have to be admitted to the hospital but thank God you are now OK and hopefully take good care of yourself and your baby. You should have delieverd in a hospital as they are fully equipped with life saving instruments and are always ready to meet any unexpected eventuality. When i was pregnant .i had to lie on bed for almost 7 months due to severe complications and i had to undergo cesarean operation. My son was born only 1.5 kg and was practically very week and feeble.I was totally depressed and devastated but after the first sight of my darling,i forgot all my pains and sufferings and started off afresh.

I've thought of death till now. In fact, I am very scared to think of it. To me when I tried to think of death it's like I can feel the pain of dying and this makes me very uncomfortable.

30. moneyandgc (3083) | 6 months ago | That must have been pretty scary! I thought about having my last child at home but my husband (who is actually trained to deliver babies) said "no way". Turns out he was right. I ended up with a C-section because our daughter was breech and completely tangled and wrapped up in her cord. The doctor had a difficult time getting her out.
I have never really thought I was going to die. I guess the closest time was when I was in a rollover car accident on my 16th birthday. It was scary but I escaped with no injuries thankfully!
