| | Why not all :) I love peaches and used to always make a trip to the orchard with my Grandma or my mother-in-law. We would buy bushel baskets of peaches and make peach jam, can sliced peaches, and freeze some for peach pies in the winter. Of course I had 4 kids so many of the peaches never made it past the washing stage :) | | | | | | |

| | Yeah, we're about to slice some and freeze them. Makes for a great desert . . . like peach Popsicle or something. I should dip them in whipped cream. Mmmmm. | | | |

| | Mmmm..i love peachers, they are one of my favorite fruits, second only to pears. My favorite ways to eat them are in peach pies and peach cobblers, though i have never made either of these myself, so i coudln't begin to tell you how! They are also really good just baked, like you would with apples. Cut in half, remove the pit, put a little dollop of butter and some brown sugar over them in a baking dish at back at 350 until their are warm, and soft, and just starting to brown and caramelize on top. Topped with a little whipped cream, cool whip or vanilla icecream, they make a divine dessert! | | | | | | |

| | Well you can make peach cobbler also.. or even sell a few..we don't have any fruit trees where I live..my grappy has all kinds of fruit trees at his home before he died. Plums, multiple brands of apples, peaches(white and regular)pears, and a mulberry tree. They usually just ate, froze and canned most of them though..except the ones they gave away. | | | | | | |

| | That must have been a wonderful garden. I would love to have home-grown plums and a mulberry tree. I'll have to hunt down a good recipe for peach cobbler. Thanks, mtdewgurl. | | | |

| | Yes, his orchard was very nice..and he had alot of varieties of apples. He had a big garden every year except a year before his death when he was to sick to plant and take care of it. Him and granny always had the most beautiful garden with the most delicious veggies. Might be one on www.kraftfoods.com | | | |

| | I know what I do with them... I eat them by the dozen LOL they are so yummy:) I now only buy peaches at farmers markets and those little ones that sell by the road. |There is no point on buying peaches in the supermarket because they just don't taste like anything. Sometimes hubby brings big baskets and of course there are too many for us to eat. I usually just peel them and take cut then in small pieces and then boil then in plenty of water. Then when the water reduced by half add a bit of brow sugar, a cinnamon stick and a few drops of lemon juice. We love it in bread, with ice cream and we're all known to just get a spoon at eat it directly from the jar LOL Really love the white peaches, but I like any kind as long as they are juicy and sweet. | | | | | | |

| | Aren't they great. These white peaches are so juicy and sweet I think I ate too many. But it's way better than eating junk food. Thanks for the peach recipe. I'll try it for sure. | | | |

| | You... peel them? I've always thought there's too much nutrition on the skin to waste. Once I've washed them, only the pit is left. I LOVE 'EM!!! | | | |

| | I like fresh fruit but if there is just too much then preserving them would be a good way to enjoy them for a long time to come. You might also give them away. | | | | | | |

| | Hello my friend gtargirl Ji, I bring out something useful for you from the web: You may log further to find out something more suitable to you. http://www.dinnerplanner.... Peaches Learn how to can peaches!Canning peaches can be very easy and quite rewarding when you have a taste for peaches in the dead of winter. Here is how we do it at DinnerPlanner. The hardware you will need include the jars, lids, a water bath canner, a jar funnel and a plastic spatula. You will also need water, sugar, Fruit Fresh and of course the peaches. Plan on 2 – 3 pounds of peaches per quart jar. We have found that, on an average, there are approximately 20 to 22 pounds of peaches in a half-bushel. You will need to heat your jars and lids. You can use your dishwasher, oven (low setting) or immerse them in hot water. Wash the peaches and then dip them in boiling water for about 30 – 60 seconds, then dip them in cold water. The peels should slip right off. Cut them in half and toss the pit and scrape the fibers from the pit cavity. Sometimes these fibers can turn dark during storage. To prevent darkening of the peaches soak the peach halves in a solution of 3 quarts water to tablespoons of Fruit Fresh until you are ready to place them in the jar. While these soak make your syrup by combining 2-1/4 cups of sugar with 5-1/2 cups of water. If you like your syrup a little heavier use 3-1/4 cups of sugar with only 5 cups of water. Heat this on the stove and keep it hot. We use about 1-1/2 batches of syrup for every 7 quarts of peaches. Drain the peaches and pack them into the hot jars cavity side down in overlapping layers. Leave about a ½” head room and ladle the hot syrup over the peaches. Until there is about ¼” headspace left. Remove all air bubbles using a knife or any other long flat object. Then seal the jar using your dome and lids that have been heated in boiling water till nice and hot. Process in a boiling water bath for 20 minutes. Lay jars on a cloth to dry leaving space between the jars for breathing room. Pack them away and keep your eye out for DinnerPlanner recipes that will use peaches throughout the year"May God bless You and have a great time. | Canning Peaches
