Have you ever been overseas to any country or continent in the world?

I have never traveled overseas in my entire life. My husband's cousin is overseas with her husband. They went with their church on a vacation. I told her that I could never travel above waters. I can't swim and I am afraid that someone will hijack the ship that I am on. Or perhaps some raging storm will come and drown us beneath the icy waters. I guess I am really too paranoid.... But, in the back of my fantasy mind, I would love to travel overseas to see the many places that God has created for us all. It would be fun. And I would make sure that I bring my camera so that I can take many pictures of all the excitement. So, have you ever traveled overseas to an country or continent? If so where did you visit? Please share your experiences with me.

yes, but before signing up into anything study and research it first. And this is what I have found out about the site. It is merely an MLM, pyramid scheme, which there's no product to sell but their site. I mean, who would be paying $10 for just a domain and hosting, using only .WS??? while a lot of sites offer less and you can get .Com, .Net etc.. while in GDI they control. Read this one and you will learn more http://www.110mb.com/forum/ive-found-a-good-one-gdi-not-advised-scam-t20986.0.html I like how Slittzle pointed out every meaningful detail not to go on GDI site.

I first went to France when I was a child. I dreamed about going to many other countries and I held my globe and wished for that. When I was a teenager I saved money to go to Greece and the Netherlands. I got a job in Finland to fund my trip by train around Europe. I went to Tunisia and St Lucia after that. When I was 20 years old I went to the USA, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia on my trip around the world. I did another long trip of several months to New Zealand taking in the sights of the South Pacific Islands. I really love traveling and in total I have been to 52 different countries so far in my lifetime.

I have never gone out of the country. I am not a person fond of travelling. Now, my husband has moved to USA as a part of his work so I need to go there. I have applied for my visa, but it is taking some time. I am worried about it. I am looking forward to go to USA by the end of December. It will be my first travel out of the country. I live in India.

i think travel is a very important part in my life. in my life i have travelled a few countries, but mainly in the Europe. I wish one day i can travel to Africa and America. When i travelled i always tried to mingle with local people. I went to the shop which customers are local people as well as go to the popular restraunt with local people. i also tried to make friends with local people then i can get more useful information. It's not too late to start your overseas journey. I believe travelling overseas will help you a lot in your life. You will find out the world is really big and fantastic.

Apart from the Philippines, which is my home country, the only other country I've ever been to is Singapore. It's a very small country. You could actually travel the whole country in a day. There are so many malls there, and I did enjoy shopping. I'm planning to go to the US next before my visa expires.

Yes I have travelled overseas as its one of my interests. Honestly, I have vertigo... I can't look down if I am on high place or peak as I will feel dizzy or somewhat sick but I still travel by plane... I just don't lookout of the window. I love adventures... I love to explore new places... I like learning new things and cultures... I love to meet new people and know how they live their life in their country... I love food and I don't mind trying new dishes while I am travelling... I also love shopping, I buy things that are not available in my country or some things that are cheaper overseas... most of all, I love taking photos of the places where I have been. I have been twice in Thailand, I went in Phuket first time in July 2007 for 9 days with my bf. Last May 2008, I have been in Bangkok for 5 days. I have ride an elephant and watched some animal shows there, I recorded some videos of it too. Seafood is very cheap in Phuket. My travels in Thailand are for leisure only. July 2008, November 2008 and last month when I was in Singapore for 4days/3nights only for business purposes but I still go around there. I lost my passport during my first time in Singapore last year but I recovered it soon with the help of a friend there. I have booked my ticket and hotel already, I am set to go in Hong Kong this coming September for my birthday. I still want to explore more places in the future.. I want to go to Egypt, Galapagos Islands, Antartica, Europe, United States of America, other Asian countries like Mainland China, Japan and South Korea.

I have never traveled overseas. I have never traveled outside of the continental US. I do know many people that have and do regularly travel abroad, and they all tell me that it is a wonderful experince and anyone who has the opportunity really should take the opportunity to see other places in the world. One lady I know just recently got back from England where her daughter lives. She went there for her daughters wedding and from there they all went to Germany. To listen to the beautiful sights there are to see and the differences in culture, I do believe that it would really be worth it to go if I ever had the chance.

I've been in the Bahamas, Mexico and Canada. I went through a sever storm in Mexico but it was only for one day and other than that the weather was quite uneventful when I traveled. My dream is to take an extended vacation to Europe and I also want to visit Australia and New Zealand.

Hi Cream, There are only 2 countries that I've been to, one is Thailand (Bangkok) and the other one America. Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand is such a wonderful place, and you can see the history written on all the city. In the US I was only able to visit two states California and Nevada. In California, I've been to San Francisco and Los Angeles, and In Nevada, I saw the wonderful, sinful Las Vegas(Oh I love Vegas!). When I go to other places (local or abroad) I like to have a peek at the history so I prefer going to old buildings, museums, national parks and famous landmarks. You have to conquer your fears, otherwise you will always limit yourself to the places you are familiar with, and you will definitely be missing a lot.

Hello Cream!I'm in the UAE for over 5 years with my husband and we've traveled a lot around the seven Emirates. It's nice to have fun going to the shopping malls, water theme parks, beaches, desert safaris and museums of Dubai. One place where we always want to go during winter is the mountainous part of Abu dhabi & Al-ain at Jebel Hafeet - a mountain offering an impressive view of the city, and a well developed tourist attraction the Green Mubazarrah Park where you will wonder how a desert could possess a total green nature with hot spring waters forming streams and lakes. At one time on the way to our home country for a month vacation we planned a drop-off to Hongkong. We've enjoyed greatly our tour to Disneyland & Ocean Park and the walk at the central districts of Hongkong and night markets. Having a limited time we will be more than happy to get back on some other time to experience the other places of attraction in Hongkong. Why worry on travelling? If you have the means explore and enjoy the beauty of other places in the world....Add me up on your friends list please!

I had been to a few countries for tour / visit / vacation but not as an overseas worker. I went to Singapore twice, Canada in 2007, Indonesia and to Malaysia 4 times already. I just toured and went to beautiful places in those countries and visited family members. The first time I went overseas, I was with my 2 sons. We were excited to ride in a plane. The first take off was somewhat frightening, but when the plane was already up, the travel was smooth as if we are not moving at all. It is also fun looking out the window watching below the houses, people, trees, roads as miniature models, and the clouds as if cotton balls. We should not think of negative thoughts when we travel because we will not enjoy the travel/ tour if we do that. Accidents happen everywhere, even if you are not flying or on the ship. If its your time to go you will go, even if you are not flying, on the sea or on land.

I have been to a number of countries in Europe, UK, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria, and in the Far East Asia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand. It was so exciting and enjoyable to see the unique beauty of the places, the cultures and traditions of the people. Two places which I will always see in my mind's eye are the Swiss Alps and Mount Fuji in Japan. No doubt, there are many scenic places in the world, but these two will always stick in my mind !

Sounds like all your fears stem from not knowing how to swim. It's not at all hard to learn but having the right person teach you is the key. My brothers tried to teach me but couldn't. I had joined 4-H club and went to 4-H camp one summer for two weeks and during that time, I learned how to swim with a swimming instructor who had a lot of patience. I'm not the greatest swimmer in this world but certainly not the worst. You should check into the YMCA on swimming lessons for adults so you can build your self confidence so you can venture out of your "comfort zone" a little more. Maybe then your fears will subside. My husband has been to Germany for 4 years and loved it very much. He got to see hundreds of years old castles and other things and sights that he enjoyed. I didn't know him at the time so I didn't go but I sure would love to some day. Plus I would love to go to Holland to see the people wear wooden shoes which they do actually wear when they're gardening.

I went to Europe (Switzerland, Italy and France) 12 years ago. That was my only trip overseas in my life. I do hope to return one day. The highlight cities that we visited were Rome, Zurich, Venice and Paris. I really enjoyed all of the basilicas in Rome and the catacombs and the collesium. Actually, I loved everything about Rome. Venice was just like traveling into a different time period. I loved that they have only water and foot traffic there and the shopping was excellent. Paris was great to see the Eifel Tower and Notre Dame. A ride on the Seine river was great as well, but it was kind of dirty. On my next trip I want to go to Germany as I have German friends and my husband spent half of his childhood in different German cities.

I've been to China about 4 or 5 times, once to Italy, once to Germany, once to Finland and twice to England and France. I've also visited Mexico, not really sure if that counts as "overseas" when you live in North America though.
