Do you think she is right to sue?

I dont think this is the right way things should of been handled. She should know the economy is still in bad shape and jobs are scarce. BLaming the college is wrong. Its not their fault. And other students who have graduated are most likely having trouble as well. She may have just started another problem that will cause others to react the same way or worse.

I think its right in g=her point of view,as the college does owes to him....But if u look from college point of view I can say that its not possible to provide job to everyone as the undeserving ones don't deserve one.

I had a ball reading that article. Crazy. Crazy. Blame somebody for your misfortune. The school can't dictate what their clients or partner companies should do to hire people. And of course the school can't tell companies something like: just try out and interview this person, s/he had zero absences, and she's a good student blah blah. Believe it or not, there are many students with average intellect who are behaving well in school. If the companies would interview each and every one of these students, they would need to hire probably triple or quadruple their current HR manpower just to support this demand.. So a small company would probably have more HR people than sales or technical or other support people, go figure. Who'd want to operate this way?

So no, although it's her right to sue. It's not right at all to sue, just my opinion anyway..

I think the woman is a nut case - maybe after her filing this the college should sue her for slanderous remarks. I hope the judge - whoever it may be throws the suit and her out of the courtroom. My daughter has a degree in business and one in accounting but she cannot find a job in either field at the present time - jobs in anything are hard to find right now - but my daughter sure isn't suing the college. I hope that all this woman gets out of her stupidity is a large bill from the lawyer who was ignorant enough to take the case to court.

IF that is what the school promised, then they should abide by their advertising; or pay for their fraudulent ad's..

I know what you mean about everyone just sue happy... and without knowing the details...I am not surprised she might have a case. I have heard these schools commericals and they do tote proudly that they help student get a job after they graduate. Does that only apply to A students only... was that disclosed? Does it say that in the contract they sign? Do they help all, and what do they do if they can't find a job for every graduate? Spending that much money and time on the presence of a job at the end and not getting help to get a job even tho you graduated with proper grades...breach of contract I'd say. And in this case.. yeah... I think if it is that.. the schools should have to pay up.

I feel like she could be well within her rights to sue if this wasn't such an obvious case of, I'm jobless, I'm broke so to get the money I need and want, I'm going to sue someone else for it instead of actually working hard for it. I will be pretty sorely disappointed if she actually wins this case.

It sounds like to me, she didn't work hard in school, came out on the lower end of the spectrum and didn't work hard to build up her resume, so now, no one wants to hire her because she has a poor work ethic and her resume lacks anything that stands out, so instead of trying to find a job, she's just hitting up other people for money.

hi ersmommy1 this makes me damned mad and furious how dare she sue the college, give me a break. my son who is a computer programmer and a very good one had not been able to get another since this past September. now if this girl had money to sue, take the d amned money and do like my son and a million others out of work, go look for work and send out resumes and quit whimpering.you are not alone woman.I bet a lot of readers feel much the same way. I hAVE NO sympathy whatever for her. at least she has some money, a lot of us dont.my sons job lost put me in a retirement home. no she is not right to sue,let her hunt like all the rest of the jobless.

Why can she just look for a job somewhere else instead of getting angry on the School itself. It's the crisis year and i really doubt they're gonna give that much money to her. if every would sue then the school would run out of business and close down.

Good way to keep oneself occupied. Its better than sitting around doing nothing. If she wins then she can good amount of money. Maybe after this she can sue companies for not providing her a job. Or maybe she can the country for going into recession.
