British and French citizens arrested in Iran, forced to confess, Obama is silent

I'm sure many of you have heard about Iran blaming all the protests on the western world, most notably the British. Well arrests were made and now they've managed to force confessions from those they've arrested.
Obama waited a week to react to the protests in Iran. My opinion was that he made the right choice then. This issue however, is different. These are British and French citizens now being arrested and forced to confess. That turns this from an internal issue to an international issue where our allies are involved. Shouldn't Obama make a statement in support of our allies and urging Iran to respect international law with regards to embassy employees?

I think he should make a statement, as should all country leaders, especially those in the UN. Perhaps he is being tactical about it?
We just had great luck with two hostages in North Korea, where Bill Clinton facilitated their release. Maybe Obama is looking to him for advice?

I am sorry and forgive me if I am wrong about this, but this makes no sense to me. America is always being accused of being in everybodies business sticking our nose in where it does not belong. And know we are once again wrong, because our president has not stepped out and made a statement about citizens from another county be held captive. Have their government spoken out on this capture?

It wasn't our business when the people were protesting their own sham election. That was an internal issue in Iran. If Obama had gotten involved he would have been in someone else's business, like he was when he started making absurd demands that Honduras reinstate its ousted leader. Right here what we are dealing with is an international situation because Iran was dumb enough to arrest citizens of other countries. THIS is a time when Obama should have harsh words for the actions being taken by the Iranian government.
You can't be aggressive and make sanctions against a country like Honduras for ousting a corrupt leader and then sit idly by while another country is illegally arresting and forcing confessions from British and French citizens.

We are always in everyone's business which is the reason a lot of countries don't like us.

Yes he should, I doubt he will though. The problem is what difference would it make? If Britain and France are not willing to act, America criticizing Iran would not matter. It would be like watching a school yard bully picking on one of your friends. You go over there to defend your friend, yet after the altercation your friend still gives the bully their lunch money. Britain and France should act and we should support.

I am detecting shades of 1979 and the Iran Hostage Crisis here.
Yes, 0bozo should make such a statement, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.
After all... he thinks the Iranians and the rest of the Jihadists have a legitimate complaint.
Those citizens are toast...

I think he should support our allies, after all, that is the point of having allies. However, in the liberal tradition, he will probably support our enemies in an effort to "nice" them into our camp. It's never worked before and it never will. Besides, at this point, I have no idea what our "camp" believes in.

Since this is in the realm of Foreign Policy, 0bama is waiting for the right time to apologize to Iran. That is his Foreign Policy Strategy right? Apologize to terrorist states, turn our back on our allies, and have h. clinton announce a hollow "we're back" in a corner of the world where one country owns us, another country thumbs it nose at us, another yet another is probably kicking itself in the pants for counting on us.

It seems that Obama is only vocal when it suits his agenda and if he can profit from it. I think he is very careful what he says not to annoy or irritate his Muslim friends.
