air conditioning or brave the heat?

The city where I live is not hot but when I travel with my mother, we have to brave the heat because our car has no air conditioner. What I do is open the windows and spray water on my face so the wind will cool me. I like to see it as being friendly to the environment than being too broke to fix the air conditioner.

Air Conditioning!!!!!! It is so hot outside it is crazy! I can't deal with the heat at all.

it's pretty hot here too. I don't have air conditioning. I don't have air in my car either. I can take a lot of heat...even when it is uncomfortable. If I am in an air conditioned place too long....then there is the shock of entering the heat when you leave. I think it is better to just let your body adjust to it. But that is just me. for some people, the heat is really unhealthy.

I'd prefer the heat over air conditioning any day. I do have it in the car, but I'd much rather just have the window cracked for the most part. Only if it's been sitting in the sun a while and gets too hot do I ever turn it on. Air conditioning drives my sinus's bonkers, so I'd rather do without it whenever possible. I'd rather suffer the heat than a migraine lol. My house doesn't have air, so I just use fans. Plus with all the trees around the house shading it, it hardly ever gets really hot in here. I like it that way.

Air conditioning? I can take it or leave it.

Hubby and I live in the basement, so no matter how hot it is on the surface, it's cold down here.

I like air conditioning when I'm in a vehicle, as long as it's not too high. The only time I don't like air conditioning in a building is when it's turned up to freezing. No fair to go from stiffling to freezing. It's a shock to my system.

I come from a frugal family, so we've always just opened windows. Moving into the basement is a real blessing in the Summertime.

also, the patio tables at Second Cup are all in the shade, so people flock there in the Summer so they can sit outside without melting. The only problem with that is if it's slightly cool outside, you're going to need a jacket on the patio.

I would prefer air conditioning as I cannot stand the heat, it stresses me out and makes me tired. The heat makes me drink a lot of water and I am still thirsty. However, it is always good to get used to the heat as you don't know when you will be in a situation with no air conditioning at all.

I like air conditioner because, I can't stand heat, we are having very hot days here lately, and I can't take the heat, I stay inside because, it is too hot out side, and when I sweat it's like someone, is pouring water over my head, that's how hard I sweat, I was clean out my old apartment, and I had the air conditioner on, and I still was sweating hard.

I prefer the a/c rather than the heat from the window. I do also can survive without the a/c but life will be much easier if your house is centralized.

I will open the windows if it is not too hot outside and there is enough of a breeze to blow through the place to cool things or keep them cooled down. Otherwise, if it gets humid out, the air conditioning goes on and will stay on for as long as it needs be. My place does tend to stay pretty cool, which I am happy about, but when it starts to feel hot, the air conditioning does go on.

I used to be able to deal with the hot and humidity..that was before i got sick last year..now im on oxygen and a breathing amchine for when i cant breath..so i use the air conditioner alot now..heck i used to live in Louisianna..and loved the heat! hell id lay out in 110 degree weather..not now..i try as long as i can but then eventually need to go in the house and rest,,which seriously bums me out:(
