As some of you may have read one of my latest discussions we Sold our Condo and found a New House to buy, and things are continuing to come along really nicely with this, and we are getting ready to close on both places by September 4th at the latest. We are very excited, and have been spending a lot of time packing things and getting ready for this big move. Have you bought your Own home yet? It is quite exciting even though everytime I turn around there is a lot more paperwork to do as well. Since we are going FHA there is always New stuff to update all the time as well. But things are going Good and we are busy, so if you don't see me around here as much know I am thinking of you all as well. I have included a picture of my home here so you can all see it. ~~TINA~~

I am sure that you are very much excited. I have seen the picture and its very nice. It would be great to have one such as yours. I have my house already. But I will probably make an adjustments later on since its quite old. Some things needed fixing. But well, its good enough to provide us shelter and good night sleep. Well, best of luck to you and congratulations on your new house.

I see, when your discussion showed up, I saw a picture of a house on the right side. I thought that was it. My mistake. Well, do not forget to share with us when you have transferred already. I would be delighted to hear all about it.

well, I went looking for the pix and found it in the first response - 2 stories huh, my roomie would hate it, she doesn't like stairs, probably because she can't see her feet! I don't care for stairs either, my knees protest, but I hope you get to enjoy it for many years to come!

wow, from the picture, I could see it was a very nice house. I wish that I can afford one like this one. It is big house, and seems pretty nice from the outside. So, how much do you finance it? And was it a foreclosure house? I had a friend who just bought a foreclosure home, only cost around $59,000. What a great deal.

That is so cool and some good news the way this economy is going. My mom bought her house in October. We moved in November 1 of 08 and we love the house we are in. we were living in an apartment and then before that my mom was paying a mortgage where my dad would eventually be living in since they got divorced. Anyways, we like where we are at because its considered a culdasac and the neighbor hood is more or less close to a historical one. It's been there for a long time. And its a nice size lot. The only bad thing is that the back yard is doesn't have a level spot in it. We have found that out the hard way because we tried setting up a pool and we're still trying. Anyways, i'm happy that you are g.etting something that you've wanted for a while now. I've not been on here much lately either because I've been having to do stuff to receive child care. Be careful when you start to upgrade on appliances and things and watch for water leakage and for things that you might have to do eventually. Right you down a list so you don't forget then as you get the money to do one then you get another one done and marked off. It's a lot easier to do it that way than trying to do it all at once.

hi tina hatley here.oh how wonderful a new home. it must' be really exciting.I envy you. I am in a bad situation right now because of the economy as I imagine a lot of Californians are 'my son lost his job,we got evicted because of no money,we ended uip homeless which was scary, now my son is in paid transistional housing so he can spend time looking for a job and I am here in Gold crest retirement center. sad but its a roof over my head and things will get better in time. but I am so glad for you, you do so deserve this And you will have a wonderful time getting things finished up and moving in good luck and God Bless.

Very nice! Apparently I am not your friend here so I cannot post a comment on the photo. It looks like a split level, lots of space! Congratulations!

That's such a cute house, Tina. I know you will be happy in it, once all the moving and unpacking is over. It looks like it's a bi-level. Am I right? Our house is one. You walk in the front door and either walk up half a stairway to the first floor or down half a stairway to the basement. I'm not particularly happy with ours, especially when I've just come home with groceries that take several trips to get it all inside, since I have to walk up those stairs but at least it's only half a stairway, only about 7 steps. I know all about that paperwork! I remember getting writer's cramp when I bought my first house. It was also FHA. The one I'm in now didn't seem as bad but we have a conventional loan. Maybe that's the difference. Still, at closing, there is so much to sign! But, once it's all over and you have that key in your hand, it makes it all worth it. Good luck to you and don't overdo it! Take your time in packing and remember to label each box; it makes it so much easier when unpacking!

Hi krausehome, First of all congratulations for buying the new house and i wish you that this house proves very lucky for you. I am sure you, your husband and everyone else is very happy out there and you should be. The packing would be quite tiresome as i know i have changed quite a few houses and i am not even married so very less things i got but it still broke my back. About me no i have not ever brought a house as i am still a student and live in the flat ( apartment) my dad has rented out for me..but in near future i would buy,my own house is my first priority then get married.

Hi KrauseHome! How are you doing these days? It's so good to hear from you! I just saw the picture of your new house and it is beautiful! Is it out in the country or is it in town? I know you're going to enjoy it wherever the location is. No, I never have had to buy my own home. I'm living in the house I was raised in and I hope I never have to move out. You just never know, though. I inherited this house after mother passed away in 1997. Daddy built this house and we moved in it in 1959. He bought the farm about ten years before that, though. We weren't in the city limits back then. We are now, though. I would give anything if we still weren't. I like country livng better. It's still like I'm pretty much in the country because I have a lot of property around me. Kathy.
