Today's music: Just a noise or melody?  

Yes, I feel the same as you. But not all of today's music so. Some have heard that good.

Well i think todays music is not a melody to our ears but it is too noisy and cracky types.I am at this young generation but still i dont appreciate my generation songs they are too hard types than the old ones at times.I think some songs are there which are really good but not all.

yeah i agree with you, most of today music is noise. there is a few good songs that is out today.

I do not like the music they produce and I tend to listen to 80s music which for me is the best decade for music, 90% of my cd collection and Itunes and Ipod music is from the 80s, I don't collect or buy cds any more because I feel the music of today is of a poorer quality. I do not have any favourite bands of today and I don't know most of groups that are in the charts. I do think standards of music have gone downhill fast since the turn of the century.

Yes I believe todays music is just noise. I am not old but what kids listen today there is no lyrics or melody. It is just words screaming. They sing over the older songs and they just turn it into noise. My younger relatives always make fun of me when they play a song and I sing the words. They are like how you know that song. I aways say that was before your time. I always tell them their generation cannot have any good quality music they just ruin what was given to them. I still play my original oldies, to keep me goin. Music is a subjective matters. You might didn't like it but others will. To say today's music is a noise might offended someone. It is art for them and they are proud of it.

But I also prefer yesteryear music. I like Metallica, Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. To the older generation, it is a noise music too. So, we can't say what the others like.

Not in general. There are some today's music that's got good melody and message. But other music, mostly rap, are just noise. You can't hear anything but cursing. That's my opinion.

Today's music is jarring and noisy. One can never relax in such music. The music of yesteryears were sweet and melodious. We can listen to it any number of times. One would never prefer to listen to today's music after once or twice. It loses its charm very quickly.

A particular genre of Today's world called the new age music sounds very good and is melodious.For example Artist: Loreena Mckennitt her song:Marco polo and many others are superb.
But in genres of Pop,rock I hear a lot of noise and not appealing melody most of the time becoz of commercialisation

My friends sometimes laught at me because I only get to appreciate a song once the popularity has died down. Or when 10 years have passed from the time it has become popular. At present I find myself enjoying songs of the 90s! hehe. Welll some songs are good and some are noise. BUt it really depnds from person o person because we each have different preferences. There are songs that I don't like but works like magic on other people.
