Mail-In Rebate forms; Do you ever bother with them? |
|
I would rather get my rebate at the check-out counter or get another brand. It so tedious when you have to ask for the rebate form, save the receipt, read and follow the instructions "carefully" cuz if you don't, you'll never get your rebate. You have to make sure you circle the price, circle the date on some of them. Keep copies for your self and then wait six to eight weeks. Why bother with it-but; I always do? LOL!

2. o0Tora0o (261) | 4 months ago | I bother with them, but only if they come with a product that I was meaning to buy anyway. If it saves me money, even if I have to wait several weeks to get it back, why not? It just takes a little time and patience.
Sometimes it seems like the mail-in rebates are just a scheme to get consumers to buy products they wouldn't otherwise consider. As long as you keep that in mind and don't go overboard just because it comes with a rebate, it's worth it.

3. theweerouss (780) | 4 months ago | I always send in rebate forms. Rebates are enticing to consumers, but companies make it a several step process so people get too busy and forget to complete the form or mail it in, etc. I don't let them catch me in their game, however! I make sure to complete rebate forms right away so as not to forget. Then after the six to eight weeks that it usually takes, I end up with a check I tend to have forgotten I was going to receive! It's great!

4. danishcanadian (20400) | 4 months ago | Why bother with them? Because if you don't bother with them, you get nothing!!!! If I can get money back on something I am going to buy anyway, then I will do what I think I need to do in order to get the rebate which I am owed. It's always nice to get a little extra money in the mail long after it's been forgotten. LOL

5. callarse1 (2905) | 4 months ago | I always do it, too. I try NOT to get a product that has rebate but if I do I always follow the instructions to a T. I always print neatly, make copies of EVERYTHING. Some companies (such as Staples) even have some rebates that you can do completely on-line, those are the best! I even had ones where you fax in the information (way easier too!).
Cheers!

6. Shellyann36 (688) | 1 month ago | Yes I do bother with them. That is one of the ways I try to save a mush money as possible on the items I shop for. Nothing better than getting money back for something that you are going to buy anyway! I treat it like a game. I make a game out of clipping coupons and hitting sales as well. I try to spend the least amount of money possible for my items!
