Meeting A NEW Old FRIEND For The FIRST TIME TODAY.

I have been talking to this lady over 2 years via e-mail that lives right here in my town but have never met her. We met through a mutual friend. She has recently built a new house & has been asking me to come meet her & see her new house so today I am going. I am very excited about it. I hardly ever go anywhere so i'm living dangerously today, lol. She is so much fun on the computer i know she will be in person to. Strange how u can live in such a small town, talk to someone that long & never met them.this is the 2nd time this has happened this summer & the other person was just great & i'm so glad i met her. Have y'all ever done this??

It is fun to meet them. She & I HAD BEEN TALKING VIA E-MAIL FOR A LONG TIME & SHE LIVES REALLY CLOSE BY. i ENJOYED MY VISIT ALOT. hOPE U HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.

Hi my friend, hope u have had a nice peaceful day. My visit wenr great. She was just as nice as i thought she's be, has a beautiful new house w/alot of antiques & i loved seeing all of them. She is a retired teacher but has alot of irons in the fire. I ask her to come see me but she hasn't yet. we still talk & exchange jokes. She found out i like to read so she gave me a sack of books she had read & that was great. She has a cute little dog name bogart. I enjoyed my visit alot. How nice that you've found a new friend via e-mail only! And now you are meeting! I supposed this will be the start of a much closer friendship between the two of you. I've not done this actually. Good morning, we had a very nice visit & she has a lovely new home w/alot of beautiful antiques which i loved. SO MANY OF THEM SHE HAD REFINISHED HERSELF, WHAT A SMART LADY SHE IS. I enjoyed every minute of my visit. we have alot in common 7 THAT WAS NICE. SHE LIKES TO COOK & READ & I DO TO. iN FACT SHE GAVE ME 2 SACKS OF BOOKS SHE HAD FINISHED WITH & I LOVE GETTING BOOKS. U have a great weekend.

thats so good to hear. yes, some of us just dont like having to get out. tonight my son and i are going to eat out. its not a usual thing but looking forward top it after being in house so much. anyway, i did meet my last,late hubby on a phone line. met him out in restuarant after talking to him for several months on the phone. that turned out great

Hi ya ANTIQUELADY
Well I have had an online friend who lives about 9 miles down the road from me that I too have never met. She is not well so I am waiting for her to tell when it is ok for me to visit, I guess we have known each other for nearly 2 years or so. I don't want to push her so am leaving it up to her. I really hope that your meeting with your friend went well!

yeah, I have one this before. The ineternet is a great way to meet people in the area you live in. I have done it several times and never had a problem. I have met many great people that I am still friends with today.

I met my friend Libby in person August of last year. We had known each other slightly less than a year at that point. We met on Yuwie and now she's on myLot too. I definitely didn't regret it and would do it again with a lot of people!

No, I have never met any email friends. This is so great for you to meet her and become friends. I can understand your excitement so please just have some fun and enjoy the visit. It may be the beginning of a life long friendship and that would be so good.

Yassou Aunty, I hope you have a lovely day with your new friend and I'm sure you'll get on, even on line sometimes we know who we will get on with in real life. I once met a woman on line and we got on well, and her and her husband holiday here every June, so we arranged to meet up, and must say got on like a house on fire. I see her every year in June and we meet up several times in the fortnight. When hubby starts saying they should miss it one year and go somewhere else it takes the two of us to persuade him he really won't like wherever it is and to just come back here again. The rest of the year we keep in touch via email.
