Hmmmm, I have to say that the last movie that I was able to watch at the theaters would be the fourth Indiana Jones movie. I have watched other movies on our computer but, its really different when you get to watch at the big screen.

Oh, Im not fond of watching on the computer. Id prefer to watch on tv or theaters, but of course, watching in theaters a lot would be too expensive so I just wait for them to come on cable or I borrow cd's from friends.

That's why if your going to watch at movie at the theaters, it better be one of the best that you could watch in that year or else it would feel like you just wasted your money.. unless the movie wasn't really the reason which would either make it a waste of money or something worth while..

yeah, that's my perspective about it too. Same even with renting movies. Well, I was just a tag alone this time, and its a rare thing for my Mom to want to watch a movie in theaters so..

Maybe your mom is one of those movie goers who wouldn't like to go alone by themselves..?

Who else would she talk about the movie with in case that those that she knows hasn't seen the movie?

Im really not sure about that first one. Cause the stories that I hear is that my Mom and Dad used to go to the movies together and my Mom hasnt told an experience that she would go to the movies alone.

She would be able to discuss it with her former colleagues(she's retired) and my Aunt. Actually, we dont discuss anything that much., especially not about a movie that addresses a mother-children issue.

Well, it has surely been a long time since you watched that movie with your mom. Any changes after that episode with your mom or things are as normal as you could recall?

Maybe you should invite your mom out sometime for something different, something that would be out of the oridnary too.

Everything is the usual with my Mom. Nah, we both are busy but I do invite her sometimes to go shopping, usually window shopping for me then she'll buy something that she likes. Its a rare occasion.

My sister would usually do that to her, invite her out to that nearby mall and then she'd get to buy groceries and anything that she might fancy and at the same time, affordable.

Now-a-days, its my father who tries to get my mom out of the house witha movie or what not.

Whichever arrangement works. Mom, asked me to watch "This Is It"(movie about Michael Jackson, I think) with her. Kinda unusual to get offers like that from her more than twice in 6 months..

I would often have this notion that there is some peculiar reasons why some people act differently all of a sudden. The tendency is that you get to oppose the good gesture and speculate on a cause that would incite the recent action that is currently on going. (-_- )

What I was trying to imply but, wouldn't like to ponder about, would be that for some reason, say something life changing to the extent of trying to do what could've done before but, didn't had time to, and now with a dead line until something more serious?

Anyway, that isn't the case most of the time, after all.

Yep, it sure is. Its also nice that the actor and actress in the movie, namely Luis Manzano and Vilma Santos are actually mother and son. It's indeed great to see her acting again.

Sorry to hear about that infection, hope you're alright now. It's actually the norm in this country that children live with their parents even if they already have children of their own. Ah, at least you and your Mom still get those 'special MOMents'.

"Julie and Julia"... that title sounds familiar but I cant picture what the story was about. Anyway, I know what you mean by watching a chick movie with your Mom, it can definitely be weird and awkward, but then again there are those few chick movies that you'd never thought you'd like,..even if you watched it with your Mom. It's "based on two true stories." Julie Powell was (is) a call-center operator working for an insurance company in New York right after 9/11 and she gets this idea to spend a year cooking her way through Julia Childs' first (and possibly most famous) cook book, and blog about it. So the movie is based on her story writing the blog and on Julia Childs' memoirs.

Oh, seems like a life changing personal struggle. Thanks for giving an overview. I just might watch out for that.^_^

Casinos! That's a very unusual hobby for your Mom. I mean most people in the elder generation here in our country would seem to prefer Bingo. But yeah, there are also those who are fond of MahJong like my Mom and her friends.LOL She has stopped though and has been more focused on her business.

Anyway, you mentioned your Mom is coming "home for a vacation". May I ask where she's coming from?
