Home baking would be one of my favourite types of home crafting too! My Grandmother (Worked as a Seamstress) and Her sisters (most of them) didn't move far from where they grew up and married locals.I can remember visiting around them,and having freshly baked "Soda Bread" in each home that they'd made! I don't have the knack,(must try it sometime..) but I do have a recipe for Muffins that works,and occasionally take cravings for some homemade pancakes or Waffles

Good to hear of a man who can bake. Can't do soda bread over here, lack of ingredients, but a winter favourite is Irish tea bread, a complete doddle to make as long as you remember to pour a pot of strong tea over the dried fruit and sugar the night before. Really good with butter on.

Having just been through Christmas again,the Idea of getting a gift that would be unique to the receiver and not generic would be a very good one..there's nothing worse than getting a gift that's totally inappropriate...unless it's not getting a gift at all..

The Sewing Machine my Grandmother used (An old Singer machine with a treadle driven belt wheel drive) is still in the family,but just being dusted occasionally..AFAIK,nobody's interested in using it nowadays,but it's been well kept,and is probably still in pwo...

Handmade sea glass jewelry. I have had an online shop for a couple years, where I've sold knitted items, like hat & scarf sets & handmade jewelry...I only sell handmade sea glass jewelry right now. CreationsByRobin is the name of the shop.

I like handmade items better as gifts..more personal and unique than some off the shelf stuff!

It's good to see that doing this sort of thing as Your Day Job hasn't managed to put You off the idea of doing something in a similar vein as a Hobby!
