What do you think about working in night shifts?

I already working in shift rotation for 14 years.I like working in night shift because there are no boss,executives and someone that told you to this and that.I fell free.Sad thing if your girlfriend asked for dinner.

Most of the peoples working for the International companies
would have to work in the night time due to the time difference
between the Asian countries and European countries. Most of the
times the night shift is much useful because we have to enjoy the
morning time to go for the many more shopping and also to
complete all the professional work in order to enjoy our life.
Most of the times I have been worked in the night shift and also
I have enjoyed that shift and at the same time been have taken the
rest in the morning time. So most of the peoples would love
to work in the night shifts and also they are willing to enjoy their
morning day to be used for their professional work.

i spent 2 1/2 yrs working on night shift, it's very tiring and stressful than day shifts. the only thing i could after work is to sleep the whole day and even on dasy off i only tend to sleep, i can't do more things even going out friends would be tiresome. so i decided to just stop and find a regular working hours instead.

I used to work on night shifts before. I do not have problems about it because I am still young at that time. Now, I don't know if I can still work the way I used to be before. I am not old though but I am already mature.

i haven't had worked on night shifts. i don't know if i can pull that off if i am assigned to night shift. it would be a welcome change though. i may feel it would be hard at first but i know i will learn the ropes when time passes. i do whatever work to earn if this is anything but illegal.

I have to say through experience I like working night shift but not so much when it's 12 hour nights. I am able to get more accomplished at home and paying bills, grocery shopping and what not but what I miss most is being there to put my 2 yr old son to bed and read him a book. I have to rely on my boyfriend to do that for me. Right now I'm actually working 72- 96 hours straight at once so I don't get much time for anything.

Back in my younger days I loved working nights because I was still in high school and could do my homework while being at work, get off go home and shower off to school then go home and sleep for a few hours and not deal with my mother then gone again.

This is the last thing i want to do in life. To stay awake when all others are snoring. I would rather get up early and finish my work than work in a night shift. But i know in business establishments we have no choice but to work alternatively in both the shifts

I hate working in Night shifts. I have worked in night shift for 3 weeks due to some clinet requirement and i totally felt irritated to work in the night shift. For some people, working at night is a real fun but the case is not the same with me. Night shifts eat up our health to a great extent. I work in software side and sitting infront of the computer for entire night means you gonna loose your health to a great extent. If it involves a physical work in the night time, then it is not of a big problem. But the case is not same if it is for a software professional.

Working in Night shifts without proper exercise and food habit spoils your health to a great extent and some of my colleages are affected by diabetics and Blood pressures even at the age of 30 and 32. I assume that call centre night shift jobs must be worser than the Software side. Being a guy, I never have an ardent interest in shopping and I have saturday/sunday's of to enjoy myself and hence i am completely uninterested in working in night shifts although the pay is higher in night shifts. I never work in night shifts. I know it would be very tired as I have the experience of stay up all night, it makes me exhausted and I can not have deep sleep at daytime. Once there is a offer for me, the pay is much better than my current job, anyway I just give it up, as like what you say, it is eating up our health.

Of all the jobs I've ever had I never considered the night shift. My late husband loved working third shift. Only problem there was, he'd get his days and nights a little mixed up. If he had a doctor's appointment, we ended up going the wrong day because he was thinking about his work shift. He would end up going a day late and have to make another appointment. I had the opportunity once to work third shift with him. It was not for me. I just can't sleep during the day.
