I think frugal is really going strong here. I think anything having to do with making or saving money is going well. Food, too. What do you think?

There are many categories that come up a lot. There are people interested in making money, some of saving money. I´m in those two. But food, health, cooking, mylot, like, people, questions and answers, are other interests that you find often. It depends on what you have marked as your own interest. You will not have "cooking" shown on top if it´s not one of your interests. Happy posting!

Very true, if you didn't mark it, then it doesn't come up for you. all those do come up often. Thanks and take care.

Yes, I do so agree. And by my stats it seems that music is going well also. I think that is a good thing. I listen to music all the time. Infact it seems really odd when I am not. There for I have written quite a few on this subject. Diet is a good one as well.

I don't do much with music besides listen to it, and I should, I got my dulcimer back.

Cute, I belong to the Good Medicine Society and now you say music is good medicine. You really should join the Hiyoka Society. You would be a riot. Yes, music is good medicine. I just choose to feel it, dance it, rejoice in it, but discuss it? Not into discussing some things. It's like when I take a walk in the woods. It's hard to explain how I feel, I just want to feel. Thanks and take care.

I have to agree with you. Saving money, with the state of the economy right now, is important to many people. Think most people aren't eating out as much, not shopping as often and staying home.

One of my husband's employees likes to give fudge or homemade chocolate as gifts. And I can tell you that it's excellent. It's a good idea and we may see more of these kinds of gifts this year.

I had a friend who made chocolates for everyone every year. That was great!

Yeah, even young people are getting to be more like us old people. Into making their own food and even making some things they need. Things are going full circle! Some good things are coming about!

I don't respond to very many in the life category and just some of the mylot ones. The Mylot ones tend to be the same ones over and over again. Can you really make $ here and mylot did something to tick me off again kinds of things.

I have friends who only tend to post in politics, so if I want to see them, I at least read their posts. The repetitive MyLot ones are boring, but sometimes there are good ones.

Dogs, music and tv watching, politics and religion - those seem popular. Also questions and answers, friendship etc - and MyLot of course. You get some odd entries. Like, one "making money" discussion was all about Michael Jackson's best hits. Although, now you come to think of it ...

Yup, animal ones are very popular, forgot about that. Haven't done politics or religion in awhile due to some people getting angry and out-of-hand in those categories. If I do religion, I go to the Pagan sites, seem to be more open to a variety of ideas and religions.

Hi writersedge, I have always felt that the Questions & Answers category is the most jumping, though I don't use frugal or politics which could be why LOL. It is definitely my favourite category anyway, anything I add tends to be there, and it is the first I check when I come online. I also like the mylot.com one too, anything I know about mylot now I learn by looking there (and reading the FAQ lol). Other than that it would be life and making extra money, though I use those less often. All the best, Dranz

I would agree with all of those and add politics, I think as another. We are all looking to make money and save money, and then we feel that our financial well being and our future is tied to politics.

Hadn't thought about politics and here, I tend to avoid the category because people tend to get heated and angry. But very true, our financial well being does tend to have to do with politics whether it's refunds, star exceptions (or any), grants, funding sources, etc, it all come from politics. I just find a lot of Dems and Repubs get angry and the conspiracy theories tire me out.

I think any discussion that would give ideas on how to save money in todays economy would make a good discussion on MYLOT, people are always looking for ways to cut corners. And the food discussions, I love them, I have learned many things by people giving little tricks they use or some great recipes. I know the politics discussions seem to be always up and open for people in what they think this country needs. I am glad to see that our people is stating to get involved in the politics and stating what they believe is wrong with this country. But I love the food discussions the best.

Yeah, I've learned about foods that I didn't even know existed before Mylot and how to do things that I never would have known. Yes, money saving is important. I am staying away from most of the political ones

Oops. Just realized I "mis-under-read" your initial post, Writers. Sorry. The answer you're looking for is: "Questions & Answers." After that, "Politics," "Food," & "Animals/Pets." Elic seems to be popularizing "Journey to Oblivion" all by herself! Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

Today I found an old (a month or 2 old) shopping list that was supposed to have been tossed. I happened to still have my latest one from Wednesday, so I compared the two. I bought as cheaply as possible BASIC foods I need, & my new list was half as long. Since I get food stamps, I know exactly what I spent on the old one, which was similar to the new one, which means the old food cost a lot less! If Obama gets his way & my electric bill "skyrockets" (his word! He actually promised to make our electricity "skyrocket" with his "cap & trade" policy! What the hell does he expect us to do?!), I won't be able to live here any more, or afford extras like salt & pepper. Yet, I also lack the funds to move. I will, therefore, literally have to beg on street corners, & live there, too. And I don't even have a shopping cart...just whatever I wear & can carry in a trash bag. I'll even have to give Minnie a home. So yes, frugality & the jump in food prices (& everything else in this rotten economy) are definitely on my mind, & I'd agree, on a lot of others' minds, as well! If only I could find a job!!! Everytime I log in here in Mylot, the make extra money interest is usually the recently discussed topic. I guess everyone here in mylot want to make some extra money. Actually, the reason why I found mylot is because I am looking to earn extra money online. lol. So i guess that is the reason why that interest is the most "jumping" here in my lot, I think.. lol. :)
