How many of us write a Christmas shopping list?

My kids write the list LOL. I keep track of what I have purchased, and compare to their list. That way I don't spend too much.

I have to write a christmas list. If I don't then my pea brain has the tendency to forget who I have bought for or who not... .LOL..I started the other day asking my grandsons what they wanted for christmas. Boy that was a long conversation with them. I can't remember half of what they said. I just hope that mom remembers..Have a great day and keep smiling..

n0 i d0nt make a list, i just go to the mall and think of the impt pers0ns i want to give s0mething to. When i find an item deserving that s0me0ne i buy it.

I write a list of what I've bought rather than what I might buy present-wise. I dont get a stack of food in over Christmas so, just make the usual sort of shopping list to make sure I get essentials.

I do the same thing. I write a list of the people I'm buying for and what it is that I'm thinking about buying. Then I write up a list of the menu such as for Thanksgiving and Christmas including desserts and drinks. I can't wait for Thanksgiving because its my favorite holiday of all.

oh I write one at the mole, on every shopping receipt. "Don't leave this for last minute" It seems to work out well, cause I am down to leaving that shopping to the minute before last. lOL

hi jugsjugs same here. The gift and card list still has to be improved as I dont have ideas for some family members and friends yet as to what we could give them for Christmas. I hope I will have some good ideas soon....... cause I dont like ending up in that frenzy then in November and even worse December.
We will also do a grocery list close to Christmas. As my mother is in her 80s and has refused to make plans for Christmas for years we just will make the list as if we wont be at her place(its a 3,5 hours drive to there)for a day and so we will have enough food to last us over the holidays for sure. What we wont need can be used up between the years.

I used to write a shopping list at Christmas but not no more. I just ask my family what they want then I go to the store and if I can not fine what they ask for then I pick up something I am sure they will like. I do though write what food I need to get for Christmas dinner.

Oh yes, I do write up a Christmas list . . . otherwise I would be totally disorganized!! First I write a list of all the people I need to get gifts for - and then when I get the gift, I write what I got for them next to their names. And once I am done with that person, I just check their name off. This list helps me from over or under buying for a person - and also helps me to organize and remember all the stuff that I bought and shoved in the closet!

I don't write what I want to get for a person . . . that changes according to how much I have left in our budget! I am a total bargain hunter, but I like to be thoughtful about the gifts . . . so I have to be flexible.

But even so, yes, I will pick up extra things for certain people along the way . . . it's fun, isn't it?

I do Christmas shopping list and believe me it works for me. Because what I do, I ask my family member what they really want to receive this Christmas but I include an amount on it LOL. And they can simply think of a things they wanted for the amount I had given and that is what they will receive every Christmas. I became hilarious when they open the present and you will see the shock on their faces and will say this line, " i never expect I will receive this thank you". LOL.
