it might not be as clear cut as it seems - yes brown stopped treading water ages ago but then again we all know what happened last time the tories were in. i suspect the top two stand fairly equal chances at the mmoment but labour might have an edge if they do the humane thing and put brown out to pasture. what i'd like to see really is the smaller ones (with certain nasty exceptions) gain more seats as i think that is the main solution

Thats easy - in the end, the candidate with the most money, who pays off the most people, who makes the most outrageous promises that are believed by the most people, who actually cast a ballot, that is counted, will get elected.

Well obviously the side that has the sense to put Mandleson in charge will be elected but none of them would be clever enough to realise that.

Of course or would you prefer a puppet? Think of Peter with a handbag, no going wrong there. Do you like the new tags?

As an American, I have a hard time accepting Gordon Brown as your Prime Minister. Don't know why but I still always want to say Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of England. I never had a problem before remembering who was the current Brit PM but I do now. I guess the improtant thing is who the people of the UK want in office but sometimes I wonder if there are Brits who still think in terms of Tony Blair. LOL

blair was a weasel. not nice. however brown is completely unsuited to the position and obviously doesn't have a clue what he is doing. and sadly until full scottish independence goes through he is the prime minister for us too.

Can't see Brown coming back now, unless there is another major crisis which allows him to play superhero. Brown is going down, he is too far behind to catch up. That said, if Labour get off their backsides and kick him out, then things could change - Cameron's support is soft and a hung parliament would be a distinct possibility.

don't know. if brown doesn't go then i'm going to start being suspicious that the two biggies are doing what the americans MAY have done when the democrats sent al 'charisma bypass' gore to stand against bush. DISCLAIMER TO THE FBI AND CIA. I SAID MAY. PLEASE TELL THOSE SECRET POLICEMEN TO LEAVE MY FLAT. THEY ARE DRINKING ALL MY COFFEE AND MAKING A MESS.

my experience with elections here tells me that no mater what party comes to power....it won't make a difference to ordinary people.....
